Tampa Area Threads
Scott (TTP) is the only tuner I've only gone to, also its comforting to know that He has a shop. He is a great guy. I've gone to him for over 5 yrs now and only money I've spent was on upgrades and nothing being fixed. lol
...so I was at a red light when a Sheriff pulls up next to me. No biggie. Just a red light. When the light turned green, I accelerated to the speed limit and then rolled steady. A few seconds later the Sheriff pulled up beside me and took off beyond the speed limit. Was he taunting me? Who knows...
...as I pulled into my apartment complex, we saw the same Sheriff. He was driving around slowly looking for something or someone. We disregarded it and drove past. As we parked, he parked in front of us and got out of his car. Talk about being NERVOUS...
...he explained that he just got a call of a White Honda Civic hatchback with gold rims and ground effects was just stolen from around the USF area near New Tampa and the same civic was seen stealing car parts off another vehicle. That vehicle was last spotted in my neighborhood...
...then he made me nervous again when he asked if I knew the owner of the Evo VII (we were in my wife's Evo VIII). I thought something may have happened to my car (I haven't actually taken a good look at it when we returned because we just barely arrived when the Sheriff started to speak to us). When I told him it was mine, he laughed. He was just going to ask the same questions to that owner until he found out it was me! LoL
Anyway, just thought I was share that story just to say that people are out there today casing out cars for GTA or parts. Just be alert.

Manie... See you at the track. I was hoping to convoy up there with other Evo's from Tampa, but looks like I'm headed up there in my VII alone. Maybe I'll make a run to finally see my 1/4 mile time!!!
