Is it not blowing cold, or not blowing at all? If it's not blowing cold, it could be a refrigerant leak or maybe a failing AC clutch. If it's not blowing at all, it could be a lot of things. Maybe the blower motor has failed?
Well, the mechanics were a bit overwhelmed today, so they asked me to bring it by tomorrow. He told me that the reason my ac only blows regular air is because the compressor doesn't power on. He looked at the fuses and briefly looked at the rest and can't find an easy fix. So, he wants me to return tomorrow.
Just thought I would ask this forum to see if there is an answer I can give him to expedite my ac repair!

I'm not sure, don't know much about AC, but I've seen them blow regular air when the AC clutch wasn't engaging (if it were engaging, the clutch pulley coming from the compressor would be moving slightly toward and away from the compressor when it cycles on or off), but I don't know anything about the electronics aspect of it. That stupid pulley would have only cost me around $15, but no one sells them on their own anymore, had to buy the entire compressor.

My Lancer sold on the 13th, just a couple of days after I listed it on craigslist. At least it's no longer wasting away in the garage. A teenager bought it for his first car, so you know it's going to be driven.

There is a wire that hooks up to the A/C compressor, at the bottom of it.
You can get to it from under the car, around the bottom corner of the radiator.
This wire wears and can break. It powers the A/C compressor.
See if that is your problem.
Have you tried S&R Performance in Tampa? There is a shop in Orlando that I am not going to mention, but they did a great job on my car and didnt charge anywhere near $700...

looks like a great turn out..unfortunately I was at work until 730pm and then had to work again this morning at 630am so i wasnt able to attend...I sold the s2k though so I'll be shopping for an evo SOON ! WOOT WOOT ! lol
