bout 80-85 bucks @ cambridge, factor filter, mobil1 oil.

however they did hit me by charging labour for tire rotation >_<

actually, i'm curious, they charge me 10 bucks a litre for the mobil1, and they indicate retail is 17 bucks a litre, is that accurate/fair price?

I just took a look at Canadian Tire's website... and they are charging about $10 per litre for Mobil 1.

Do these dealers buy Mobil 1 in bulk? I swear I was getting an oil change at Brampton Mitsubishi and saw them pouring Mobil 1 out of the normal bottles you would buy in the store.

They buy oil just like the rest of us, they buy in bulk and most dealership owners own more than 1 dealership so I bet they get oil for cheap.

Not that much cheaper at the dealer.. We getting them at just around 8 bucks or so.. The cheapest way is to get them when Can-tire have them on sale.

Every car we have seen spin bearings this year was running this oil. We do not use it and do not recommend it to anyone. I'm not saying that these cars spun bearings from this oil, just that its funny this oil happen to be in everyone of them.

With that said, I would recommend oil changes in our engines every 2-2500 miles. I really do not care what kind of oil you use or what it says in the bottle. Our cars are not Toyota Camrys or Dodge Neons. They are high performance machines and need to be treated as such. In my personal high performance cars I change the oil Every 1500 miles or every visit to the track and have yet to have any issues. On the other hand, My DD TL will only see oil changes every 3k miles.

I say change it yourself oil and filter maybe around $50-70. I dont have a evo but regular 5000 km change with royal purple. I also always tear my oil filter apart to check for metal ect.. before putting new one on

In my older cars, I change my oil every 24,000 km lol my lancer will be no different after i hit 160,000km. Mobil 1 extended performance baby.

But in terms of an oil. I dont think i could survive changing my oil every 3000km.
