Go pulled over for dark tints!
good times good times.
Technically it is illegal to tint the front windows.
I used to have 15% all around on my old 300 but becasue of the glass T-Top, it would allow light into the cabin at nite making it look lighter than it really is.
Also - the interior color also makes a difference on how dark the tint looks.
General tip - drive with the sunroof slider open at night

LOL nicely done!
But a lesson for all: while the cop has the ability to ask you to pop the hood of your vehicle, you are in no way obligated to agree to do so. You are protected under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms against unwarranted search without probable cause. The officer must first have "reasonable suspicion" that you might be hiding something illegal, under the Criminal Code, in there. IE: he suspects the presence of contraband in your vehicle. He will have to identify what first happened to create this suspicion (saw/smelled contraband, believes driver is impaired due to immediate use, etc), and then give a reason for the direction of his search. Likewise, while an officer may legally pull you over to inspect your vehicle for mechanical fitness, he may not ask to see any hidden areas of your vehicle unless he has reasonable grounds to suspect that you are hiding something illegal (ex, must see some obviously illegal external modification that leads him to believe that there is something related and illegal in the hidden area).
It is important to know the law, and know your rights. Complain all you want about hassle, but if you don't know how to protect yourself, you only bring more trouble on yourself.
