I think we ended up with a range of 4-6 degrees. I need to check my notes. A noticable amount but not too much.

Good to know, I hope it is a good medium point. U gotta win, but play safe

What about as times passes, does the knock sensor will eventually retard timing and blow this mod?

what about air/fuel? i know advancing timing creates a leaner AFR.

The ECU pulls timing when there are 3 or more counts of knock, but will it still be able to that when this timing box is installed???

I had the piggyback, but when ecuflash became available for our lancers i jumped on that. full access to ignition timing maps, fuel maps, MAF, injectors, idle, etc.

If you can get a tactrix cable and download mitsulogger (free) you can log your car with and without the timing box and see how much the timing is changed from stock. You can also log if there is any knock present and if the ECU can still pull timing with this timing box installed. Mitsulogger is what I use to log my car and tune with ecuflash. It's a neat tool.

The only time the ECU pulls timing is when there is knock.
