for any ix owners that have installed this kit: which way to plug in the bulb so that the polarity is correct?

also: on a stock car, where would I mount the ballasts? I saw some pics earlier in the thread, but are there other/better places to mount them? where are the ballasts mounted on ix's that came with HID's? is there a conspicously vacant space that I could put them?

I ask because I bought 2 kits, one for low beam, and another for my high beams, so I have 4 ballasts I need to find homes for...

For any 08 Lancer owners with the headlight HID kit..
1) Are you able to turn the headlights on/off while the car is on?
2) Did you have to buy the Universal HID Relay Harness to correct #1? If so is the relay supposed be spazzing out? it's making a loud shuttering/buzzing noise like there is something wrong with the circuit(I bought 2 and they both have the same loud buzzing sound and the headlights still won't turn on.

I am asking this because I can't do #1, my car has to be off then I can turn on the headlights, I can't turn on the headlights once the car is started. And for #2, I am still experiencing the problem with #1 which the Relay Harness is supposed to solve. I am thinking it is something with the black box on the relay harness.

Can anyone provide some assistance. Thanks in advance!

Just installed my low beams on 09 ralliart. They look great however I have to turn the lights to the on position before I start the car. If I first start the car and then turn the lights on they will not work with both headlights hooked up. If I recall it did work when I just had 1 hooked up testing. If I turn them off while the car is on the only way to turn them back on is to turn the car off and back on again.

Anyone with a ralliart have a similar issue to this? Other than this issue they work and look awesome, a bit of added glare from factory but that is to be expected using halogen housings.

EDIT: csL let me know what you find out from the techs. This is extremely annoying!

Installed the fog lights today and looks like you will need to reverse the polarity to get them to work. Problem with this is all the plugs in the kit are made to go 1 way. So you need to flip one of the plugs going to the ballast around, and then it doesn't catch the little bump to lock it in place. Not a big deal but something you may want to look into hidextra.

Otherwise once again they look great. Glad I went with 3000k.

Do you think that applies to the headlight ballasts too? I tried reversing both once and it didn't work, never tried just one ballast.
