Got tuned!

well i finally got my car tuned and got everything working right. im pretty happy about it. i made some good numbers for what i have done. i got everything done up at CBRD on friday. i will post pics of my dyno chart up in a little bit. i really wanna thank CBRD especially chad, for helping me out friday. hes def. the man.
i made 281hp and 287 torque

heres a little review of the shop:
The one thing that is still stuck in my head, is how CLEAN that shop is. There is not one thing out of place and its just amazing to see how organzied everything is. the guys up there are so cool too. you walk into that shop and your not treated like a customer, your treated like FAMILY. Chad even had someone take me and my buddy out so we could get some lunch and eat with the rest of the crew up there. It was such a good experience. and i cant wait to go back. Just the treatment you get up there is worth the 1 1/2 drive to me. and thats not including the excellent prices. and how fair they are. You can tell they care more about money, they like making friends and making their customers as happy as can be, and chad really did that for me. i will be going back as soon as i get some money together. the shop is just amazing

I'm happy you had a good experience. I had a terrible experience with my first shop down in south florida, but thats beside the point lol.

How much are you boosting?

I am a little concerned about your numbers. They seem a bit low for the mods you have and the fact that you have a IX. What was your afr?

I was tuned by 4 wheel slide:
'05 evo VIII with:
-megan downpipe
-megan test pipe
-walbro 255
-forge bc set to 22.5psi
-drop in filter
Car made 304whp 286tq

What type of dyno was this on? Not all dynos are the same... that could be why.

its on a mustang dyno
and im tuned at 23.5psi
my a/f is right around 11.5-11.6

chad told me a stock IX makes around 220whp on his dyno
now i did make more, but i believe the boost was higher, and i just want my car to be safe and reliable

peak numbers were 292/297 at 23psi...

the car is running a turbox mbc, which we dont like, spikes then dumps... with a better controller i believe we could make 300/305 ish holding boost.

stocker makes 225-230ish on our dyno, evo 8's make 195ish

Ok yea, the mustang dyno's are one of the dyno's that traditionally are more stingy with their numbers. So my car on that dyno would probably make a lot less. Although my car really does feel like it has 350 crank...

Whats next on the list for you?

Looks good! I was down there on Thursday for my tune, and couldn't agree more with your review of CBRD. I'll gladly make the 12+ hr (roundtrip) drive again when I need more work / tune done again.

Hopefully I will see you guys on Saturday.
