Any short people like 5'8" have these? I'm curious if they would benefit me cause of lower C.G. for autox, better use of arm rest and shifter benefit???

I bought both driver/passenger last year but stripped one of the bolts on the passenger side, so I never put that one in. Found out yesterday that my dad threw them away when he was cleaning the garage out.

What do you think guys? $80 worth it to even them out, or do I let my passengers keep riding high?

Just got my brackets. Thanks Binary but just a suggestion could you wrap them a little better when shipping them. All of my brackets are scuffed and some sections are down to the bare metal. Not too thrilled about that...

So the only hardware I received were 8 nuts, do I need any washers, lock washers or lock nuts?

I reused all the bolts with 4 nuts per seat. He suggests using loctite, if you want to, in the How-to section.

So far, I'm liking my sitting position! Thumbs up!

one of the best mods i ever did to my evo. dramitically changes the driving experience and comfort level of the car. everything lines up so well after. your eyes thru the windshield, your hands on the wheel and shifter, your feet to pedals, it just gives you that much more of a great driving position.

Definitely put some loctite on the bolts.

Great upgrade, takes a few drives to get used to sitting so much lower but boy is it nice sitting that low!

I didn't have any issue with the packing, no scratches at all.

Yes, take the seat out...and dont forget to unplug the seat-belt connector on the bottom of the seat. Also, not sure if this has been cover, but you have to replace the two close end oem nuts on the front brackets fro something smaller since the rail will hit ti when you try to move the seat to the full-forward position.

Do these brackets provide a more comfortable ankle position/angle? I imagine they would. I'm 6'1", and with the stock seat height (and with the seat moved all the way back and only slightly reclined) my right ankle starts to get sore after about an hour of driving. I believe this is due to the angle that my foot is bent while driving.

Has anyone noticed improved right ankle position/angle with these brackets?
