I know this is an older thread, but...

I read this thread awhile and thought about buying them new. Couldn't justify the $150 just to lower the seat alittle. Recently, I picked up a set (driver and pass) of binary brackets for a guy on Ebay for less than $60 shipped. Granted they are used, I really don't mind.

They are by far the best mod I have done to my car. I am 6'5", with a helmet on I had little to no head room. The brackets have cleared up tons of room. Definately makes the car feel like a sports car.

Now that I have them , I would have paid $100 a side, just amazing!

Hey, thanks for bringing this back from the dead!

I had the good fortune of having Binary install these brackets on my car last weekend and I have to agree with the general concensus on these. They are a very worthwhile mod and definately improve drivability.

But I wanted to chime in with one other advantage that I hadnt considered until driving in a major metropolitan area. At 6'1" the rear view mirror blocked 90% of my front field of vision on the right side of the car. It made it potentially dangerous for pedestrians as I had to duck to look under the mirror. With the brackets installed I now have a very clear field of vision and can only imagine the extra benefit this will make on the track!

Thanks you Binary for a great product and helping with the install. Top notch products and a great person!

^ Funny, rear view was first thing I had adjusted when I took it for a ride after the install. Can't wait to feel the difference at the track.

Bought these several weeks back and wanted to throw in my two cents.

I bought the set (driver/passenger), got it just a couple of days later. The install was pretty painless and only required a little bit of tinkering to get things lined up and tigtened down. If I had any complaint, it would only be that the seat won't go all the way forward, but I think that could be remedied by replacing the acorn nuts. Not a problem for me, but I doubt my girlfriend can drive my car now.

For the important part, the lowered seat feels great. I honestly fall down into it as I don't drive the car everyday and I haven't gotten used to it yet. The seating position feels a lot better than stock and I figure getting 200+ pounds (driver plus seats) 1.5" lower is a nice handling upgrade. I mostly autocross and I really like the position a lot better than stock.

In summary, definitely worth the price and I wish I had done it much sooner.

Did you bend the seat adjustment lever?

I had these installed in my car about two weeks ago. I think they are great! I am 5' 5" and they work just fine. I also bought the optional Binary Eye Hooks for a harness. I didn't need them for my install and I was even able to keep the back half of the center shifter console! I did lose one position on my slider that I wish I had, but regardless! I love the set-up in both driver & passenger seats! I did NOT have to modify my seat adjustment lever. It's a great mod!

Yep, have both... both good to go. Like the Buschur stainless ones better actually as my original set had some rust in some wear areas where they rubbed from moving the seat back and forth (Wife uses the car too).

i just installed a set. great improvement! i was worried about stting too low, but its great. only "issue" i see is the bolt holding the lap belt attachment point rubs a bracket slightly. no biggie.

^^^^ Just a touch of the offending corner of the bolt with a file will fix that.
