I dont understand fanboy comments like this. Everytime people that have worked on dsms for years say something negative about a company there is like 10 people that stand up for them. The pipe did not fit plain and simple at that. did ets try to correct the problem you bet they did try. But WHY SHOULD HE HAVE TO GET A short route or a mini battery or pay extra money for something they offered. Thats the question. Maybe he did not want to run a small battery or relocate it. I know i sure dont want to run that small battery to many horror stories. so he had a idea of a setup he wanted and ets did not come though in the clutch. did they try boy they did but he ended up having to fix the pipe himself some customer service that is. You dont have the proper pipe so when your called out on it all of a sudden you dont offer the pipe anymore give me a break.

I originally had short route with mini battery.I was fed up with starting issues. The last straw was when i went skiing and had my car in lodge parking lot for 2 days.I packed car up was ready to go start and no start ftl.It cost me $200 to get tow truck to the mountain.I was going to run mini battery in the summer and stock size in winter.Thats why i wanted stock battery pipe so i can use both.

heres my short route fs thread doc

Jose -

We have offered several solutions now to fix the problem. We built the pipe to YOUR specs, YOU specified the blow off valve location and bung locations.

It still doesn't fit.. We have now offered YOU a slim fan at no additional cost, to fix the problem.

If you remember, when you first called I explained how difficult of pipe this was to build, why the cost was high for this one pipe. Then you HUNG up on me, and called me back the next day and apologized for being rude the previous day and wanted to order the pipe. I have tried to be as helpful as possible and offer up several solutions that would fix this problem.

I guess you can't make everyone happy, but we are trying.

Give it one more try and make this guy happy.

Give him what he wants to rectify the situation.

I'm not bashing or insulting anyone, however I think there is fault on both ends.

Pipe i ordered wasnt to my specs it was to your specs you designed your intercooler system.Your making it seem like i wanted something custom which it wasnt. You have all the equipment and jigs so it shouldn't of been any more difficult then building any other pipe.i didnt build it myself because the bend on your pipe is more then 45 deg and all i had were 45 and 90 deg bends thats why i called next day.

Bungs never were a problem as far as pipe not fitting.Bungs were added because might as well get them since i was getting a new pipe.

Just for the record, I'm running meth and I also use the ETS stock battery UICP. My bungs are underneath the pipe, a couple inches past the BOV flange and I've had no problems.

LOL @ the FANBOY comment. FYI I had a 1991 Galant VR4 way before most people knew anything about AWD, 4G63, and Mitsubishi so please stand corrected. Its a reason why people relocate their batteries to the trunk...SPACE. This is another option to create SPACE without having to put the battery in the trunk. To make it better the short route piping is more efficient. THEN ETS OFFERED IT TO HIM AT COST. So I will take your FANBOY comment as a testiment that I like buying things right the first time. Yes, my car has ETS parts on it as well as Buschur and AMS and soon to be MAP. So Im a FANBOY of selecting parts that work.

TO THE OP: Again I hope yall get that matter taken care of. ETS is a stand up company. Reconsider the short route piping especially if theyre offering what you need at cost. You will def be pleased the very first time you have to stick your hand in there and turn a wrench or diagnose something in the dark with a flash light.

FYI i had 5 Galant VR-4s and a bunch of DSMs.I wrench on my cars unlike a high percentage of evo owners. In my galants i used to use miata batteries. At that level of performance that my car is at now short or longer route wont make a difference. If i were making 899 the short route would get me over the hump.At 380HP?Its not gonna make a difference.

Dude i dont know if your retarded but have you read that stock battery pipe was a part ets already made and it should of fit right the first time!I had short route and mini battery it sucked left me stranded a few times.whats the point of lighter battery if you gonna have to carry a battery booster pack thing.

I quoted it for you since you dont seem to read very well. its plain and simple WHY HE DID NOT WANT short route. its not that hard of a concept for most of us to understand but i quoted it for you again just in case you seem to have selective reading.

You try and give the guy the shirt off your back and he wants your pants too..... ETS does great work and you are right they may not be perfect but at least they will fix any problems. Just a word of advice you will get more accomplished if you call them, then to try and bash them on evom.

Wow, ETS continues to be nice and polite, and the OP continues to whine. Dude, either come up with a resolution to your pipe problem or get one made through someone else. I, on the other hand, will be buying lots-o-stuff from ETS in the near future.
