pipe was $230 and i payed next day twice. You only payed next day once. You wanted me to get short route plus small battery kit that would of been more money out of my pocket. Those meth bungs are useless to me now since one was backwards, defective i dont know all i know is that nozzles didnt screw in.That shows some excellent quality control right there.

$230 includes 2nd day air shipment. The pipe it self was $187.00 - The meth bungs are not backwards, I explained this over the phone. If they were backwards you would not see the threads. The bungs have a lip on one side that act like a stopper. I'm not sure why you are having a problem, when you can get one in perfect and the other one won't go in, but both threads look the same...

We built the pipe to your specifications and it still doesn't fit.

This is why we are only offering the stock battery with a stock flange now.

The fan was offered up the last time spoke, when you said you would just take care of the pipe. The offer still stands, I have no problem shipping you out a fan. It's a universal 10" fan so you will need to splice it into your fan connector.

Thanks,

Michael
I dont know why it doesnt fit.my car is completely stock.i moved couplers up and down every which way.i even took bumper off to loosen coupler at bottom and move it around and nothing.I even got two of my friends to try and figure it out.
I took care of it i cut pipe and welded it up.Its at powder coaters now i will be picking it up today.I dont think i need fan but thanks anyway.

If you look at bungs side by side one has a thicker ring then the other. The one with the thicker ring is flat you cant even begin to thread the nozzle.the other one is beveled around inner diameter of ring so you can start threads.

ETS did everything you asked them to do, you are the one who marked where you wanted the bungs to go and where to move the bov. They did everything you asked them too and you still blame them Like i said before ETS will go above and beyond to fix things like they did for you. You should looks around your engine bay and see maybe some things are not original, like maybe the battery is not the right size or if the car was ever in a accident maybe the from support is not straight causing all this problems with hitting the fan.

Talked with Michael @ ETS online a few times, great guy and very helpful. Sounds like they did a lot to help? Doesn't sound like bad service to me.

Bungs have nothing to with fitment NONE what so ever.As far as bov is concerned i thought they had that already jigged.I marked pipe so they can see where it should be since their jig might of been off.Battery is original.never been in an accident.

Im not gonna sit here and lie.customer service was great both michael and chris tried. Its just very upsetting everytime you get pipe theres something screwed up with it.I know that what goes on in shop is probably out of their control.

least they made the pipe etc. There are several vendors i will not name any names that will not lift a finger if something is wrong etc. They just say oh if you want more then paymore type deal. I dont have any ets parts on my car the only product i was considering for my massive build was maybe a ets v2 lower pipe to help spool on my fp red but i hear mixed reviews on rusting pipes fitment etc. at least they tried

OP / ETS -- Both of you seem like you want to work this out...Take it offline (aka pick up the phone), address the best solution, and be happy....

We have made the switch to stainless steel piping, so rust is not an issue. The fitment on the LP2 is perfect!

Thanks,

Michael

It looks like Michael did a lot to get this taken care of. This thread is an example of why I am happy that I went with ETS and know that if I need help they are the people to call.

BTW - I'm also happy I went with an Odyssey small battery! I haven't had any problems even while running a JL 12" and 2 Alpine amps. I guess it doesn't get cold enough here in the NW to worry about starting issues.

Just to clear things up because alot of the ets groupies think it was totally my fault.

6/8/09.Order Stock Battery UICP with 3/8" NPT bung(aem speed density) and tial bov flange. This was on their website.stock part nothing custom.

6/10/09 Receive pipe.Has 1/8" npt bung instead of 3/8" npt i ask for.I source bung locally welded up my self.install pipe and bov sits on radiator hose and hood doesnt close.ETS sent me another one before i sent defective one back.i mark pipe where i want to add meth bungs since pipe is going back anyway.

Here is first pipe and 2nd pipe side by side notice how way off bov flanges are.

Took me around a week to get around to installing 2nd pipe.
This one hit fan shroud.I mark where i want bungs.I ship it out on 7/27/09 next day air NY to WA

7/31/09 receive third pipe eveything looks good out of the box.until i see on of the bungs is screwed up.i manage to cap it off and proceed to install pipe.pipe is still hitting shroud.so i chop cut and rebuild.because i needed it quick and ets wasnt paying 2 way next day air.

Here are the pictures of the pipe Jose sent back. We jigged this pipe and built it to his specs. Jose was also notified this is not a pipe that we offer, but that we were willing to build to help him out. We offer all the bung options as a courtesy so the customer will not have to modify or ruin his coating to add these options.

We also added the meth bungs for free... something that we were not informed of on the original pipe.
