No, it spools slightly better than stock due to the back pressure loss.

The titanium shaft and wheel is lighter in mass than the stock pieces therefore, less energy is required to spool.

Okay, I guess I'm not taking into consideration the whole twin scroll thing. I keep thinking of Hahn's Super turbos for DSMs. I still don't think Mitsu would bother developing titanium cool sides if they didn't do anything. Everything they do for this car is so they can win in the WRC. Maybe titianium is better at shedding heat.

Hey, I have a bunch of spare Evo parts for sale in my garage. Just make me an offer and the parts are yours. Oops, wrong thread those are from Smogy's car. That's what happens when you start drinking beer @ 10 in the morning...

Good luck smoggie. At least your car is not on a truck and no one knows where its at like my car. My car is still not here after 25 days. There moving truck broke on the way here only 200 miles away. It took them 2 days to know where my car is exactly. I am very upset and I know how you feel for not getting your turbo installed. Let us know how things work out for you.

Studs for turbo to manifold, bolts for turbo to O2 housing, O2 housing gasket, Turbo to manifold gasket, oil and coolant gaskets/seals for the turbo both inlet and outlet.. I think thats it, you might want to get a few spares..

Ok guys here is the situation. We finished the job with the 10.5 turbo, however, we now have a oil leak somewhere. We think there might be two (the good thing is the damn car is running and out of my garage). The first leak we saw was from the head to the turbo. We fixed that one by swapping the washer and have not noticed any more droplets forming at that spot.

As for the second leak, we are not sure if its from all the oil that spilled or from the return oil line from the turbo to the oil pan. Smoggy is going to clean the engine with some degreaser and see if he has a second leak or if its just excess oil still sticking to the engine. We did change out all the oil gaskets on the turbo, and we torqued everything to specifications per the manual.

Any and all advice would be appreciated on this matter. Smoggy will probably chime in when he gets home, or when he's done checking for the second leak.

Thanks, Gnulooks...

Funny thing is that the car runs really good with my 1+ tune. I haven't floored it or beat on it yet but it feels nice at partial throttle and medium boost. I put enough race gas in it to bring the octane up to about 94 to 95 octane to be safer.
