Exede Map Switching

Hey there...I'm about to order an Xede and was just getting some parts and stuff together. For the map switching on the Xede do you just need a simple on/off 12v toggle switch? How is it wired? Thanks!

Hey you don't need anything. In fact, I personally don't think switches are such a good idea as they can be accidently flipped. I just put a male/female connector at the end of each wire and they have a plastic shields to keep them from accidentally touching. Apart = pump gas, together = race gas.

Andrew at DYNO4MANCE installed a switch on mine Go with the switch. Maybe Noize or Andrew can comment on the type of swicth they mounted in there cars. There is small hole in Metal piece above the stock ECU that can fit the switch. I don't no were they got the switch. No chance of accidently flipping since it behind the glove box.

I don't like switches... so there!

I always use male/female connectors since customers (and I) can't forget which way is ON and OFF

I know....you've told me .....our switches are logical though...up is for more
down is for less

I suppose that proves Shivs point....you can't count on everyone doing as they should...people are a nightmare

I found a military style 12v arming switch with the safety cover...then the switch below has a built in LED that is on when the switch is in the "armed" position....seems like that would be pretty helpful

Just get a two position switch with a key (LED for on is a good idea also) ... looks cool and no accidental flipping of the switch.
