*Benson Performance Machine informed Chris@Tuning Technologies that the machine work went awesome on the 2.3, no problems at all and the valve job and head is done as well. He is hanging the pistons Monday morning at the motor will be back at TT by the end of that day. When we told him it should be good for 550whp, he called us pu$$ies and told us to go for 600.

*The AMS 35R Turbo Kit was slightly delayed but is shipping Monday (hopefully) from Ill. With it is a balance shaft elimator kit and 880 injectors.

*Shiv has already reflashed my ECU for the new injectors and higher rev limit

*My new clutch is simply BADA$$: Exedy Triple Carbon.

*We are hoping to have it all assembled and have the car running on a preliminary tune within a week and a half. I'll have it broken in and ready to be tuned when Shiv comes down for the July 8,9, and 10 dyno day and class.

Go for 600WHP,...Why do a Stroker/BIG turbo to only out do IE by 50 hp??

 

What rev limit are you setting the ECU to and what internals? My 2.3 should be done on Tue-Wed of this week, but I think that the funny bunny turbo should do me good as I do not ever see myself running high octane, only 93 and I will like the 2.3 spooling the relativly small turbo up. Hopefully the smart stuff will start to roll out to those not doing dyno days after the 8-10th dyno day as I would feel a lot better having that on the car for the tuning.

 

i do have to agree.. smoggie should make 500 to 550 on shivs dyno!!! i hope it does the car will be nuts. good luck

 

To ease back on the WR turbo subject:

When can we buy a stage 2? Shiv, David, Calvin.......Come on already....I'm gonna run out of money before you all come out with it.....or worst, buy a WR

How long will we wait until we can see for sure what the top end power differencial is between the 2 set-ups as well as the losses down low.

Do you need any test mules for stage 2 besides shop cars or feel benevolent enough to ship one my way?

All the runs were with AEM, TBE, hard pipe from stock airbox and no cams. Also stock intercooler.

370 is 93, no cams.

4xx is same, but on race gas.

 

Turbo trix is tuning one this thursday on a flash.. stay tuned for results. The setup is the same as on Tims car except this time it will be flashed.
