my question is, with the stage 2 or 3.....does the turbo sit in basically the same place? will it work with other than stock upper IC piping?

I definitely dont see how Vishnu's kit could dominate atp's kit, wheres the difference(besides being twice the cost).
It doesn't even look close to identical in person.

All Vishnu kits use an unadulterated pure Garrett Ballistics turbo. Half the ATP turbo is not Garrett, it is an ATP casted hotside that is not efficient from what all have seen.

Jaylenospoolboy's car made 372whp, 318torque on straight 91 in 103 degree heat. The turbo spooled quickly and held boost.

What turbo do you use on your stage 3. Is it still a GT3037 or a bigger GT35R??? How much price increase compared to Stage 2??? Can you minus some parts to lower price such as injectors, camgears and cam shafts??? Keep up the good work

***Shiv can you pm me the price of your Stage 3 turbo setup???***

a cam is a cam shaft. and those don't come with the stage 2 or 3. they assume you already have the basic stage 1+ upgrades before you go to a new turbo kit.

And Larry, a wonderful piece of work I might add .

Everything sits flush and looks stockish.

The side effect of the aluminum instead of the stock rubber unit is you can hear the twin plate more now. It now sounds like a medium sized box of rocks instead of a small box of marbles.

Dyno graphs will probably be up tomorrow. When they come up, look at how many rpm Chris starts the run at and how fast the turbo jumps.

The ATP kit could throw down when needed, but the power band was narrower and it wasn't put together quite as well as this one. However, peak hp was probably close to this kit.

The Stage 2 is a bit quieter and with the upper IC hard pipe, the bov sounds like a vta.

The workmanship is awsome on this kit.

I've only driven it under sleep deprivation so I'll need a little more seat time to really compare the differences.

I could see Vishnu should prepping this kit next spring with a clutch, exhaust, cams, the upcoming coilovers, Ferodos, sway bar, undertray, Xede V3 SMART, for a Car and Driver cameo. It looks very stock, clean, and sounds relatively quiet. It will be a supercar slayer. A very nice reliable compromise to the tubular manifold.

Some of us only want to go so far... .

meisnerboy - there were racegas dynosheets posted a week ago. looks very laggy with full boost at 5K rpm, might be due to the restrictive adapter between the turbine housing and the exhaust manifold (the flow doesn't look very good). I'm waiting ofr real results also. I plan on getting the kit with the exhaust manifold to replace the adapter because mechanic says "it looks like a bandaid and it will break". My problem is I want to make 450 and look totally sotck.

3037s with .63 hotside 272/272 cams; 453 whp standard correction Dyno Jet, with inlet air temp around 95 degrees 3rd gearpull. And that was with Alfred pushing the car from behind

It looks like a stock Evo

I have a camera shot of the pulls.

I'm waiting for Chris to send me dyno files but I don't want to push him because he's probably shipping some of my old parts and he worked realllllllllllllly hard yesteday in that heat (and he didn't even yell at me about the burrito).

Note where the guys started the pulls - at 3200 - 3300 RPM. Doesn't look so laggy now, does it....

That one pull at 456 whp was in 4th gear. The rest were in 3rd. Over 350 whp from 4200 rpm to 7850.... hee hee hee

his wastegate was leaking on those dyno pulls, so his lag was bad. He just had it retuned, so maybe he'll post the new sheets with the fixed wastegate and we'll have a look

The lag from the dyno runs two weeks ago was due to a leaky wastegate gasket. With exhaust escaping from the system (pre-turbo), there is less exhaust to spool up the turbo. Without gaskets (leak-free), the Stg 2 30R set-up will make full boost very quickly. On a 5th gear roll-on, we've seen full boost as early as 3400rpm. Much of this quick spool has to do with retaining the factory exhaust manifold and having near perfect wastegate discharge angle (Y-routed in the tubo adapter collar).

But if you want to replace the best part on the system because your mechanic told you to, go for it.

Shiv
