Why would you want to stroke your motor and then use a 3071? It spools fast on a stock block and can rev to 8k if you want it to. Did you mean a 35R?
i've been told that the 3071R may very well run out of breath by 7500. can the same be said about the 3037S? i think the 35R, although fun up top, may be more than i need. maybe not..

two quick questions for ya:

did your stage-II by any chance come with a new O2 housing, or is this turbo capable of bolting to the factory O2 housing as well?

i realize the shiv included a new intake pipe, but can we use our existing intake pipe with this setup? i have already upgraded to a silicone samco induction pipe and i love it.

thanks.

ok i have read most of the post and was reading everything about this kit and even called vishnu and talk to them several times. I really like the stage 2 b/c its using the stock header or exhaust manifold, and still make awesome power.

I was just wanting to know, the numbers that were shown on the dyno run's with 91 octane, i think they were on page 4 or 5, is this with the stage 2 kit only?

thats all i want to know

thanks guys

I think it's Stage 2 and all of the pre-requisite components in the Stage 1.

Yes with o2 housing and I think your stock intake would be the same configuration as the Vishnu. Why wouldn't you use it though if it comes with the kit?

The 3071 starts to fall off at about 7000rpms, but doesn't fall off as quickly as the stock turbo(s). If you're going for a pump gas tune, then IMO the 3071 is the way to go. I posted up a graph comparing my 3071 to Jay's 3037 setup, and the topend is actually better on my setup, although the spool is the same.

On racegas, the GT35R is tough to beat, but it will not make significantly more power on pump ... and either way it will spool slower.

thanks for the great input!

however, the setup would be on a JUN 2.2 stroked motor, running 93 octane, with redline set to 8500 or so. would you still say the 3071R would be best in this case, or would you go with the 3037?

good lord.. the 3037s of course. why on earth would you put such a small turbo on that amazing motor... it wont even make power that high in the rev range. the 3037 will be bad *** with your set up/.

im really impressed with your setup.

was your 400+ whp achieved on race gas or pump?

i am considering the water injection route to safely squeeze out the occasional 25psi impulses..

its quite nice in my opinion. it made 400+ on shvs dyno on 100 octane. the same kit made 485 whp on the tuning tech dyno in socal (on ron's car R.I.P.) so if you want near 500 whp this kit on race gas will give you that. with great spool up, and great repeatability. i will repeat, the best part is the fact that my engine bay looks bone stock still.

I'm curious to know if it's possible to use the HKS GT3037S (which has a GT25 inlet & GT30 outlet as well as a T25 Flange) with the Vishnu collar-adaptor.

Anyone know?
