I think there should be a sticky with the year of the car and particular map package that is run.

I have made a post. I also emailed and such and recieved two maps, one from Shiv (on a post) and one from Dustin (from an email). The maps have major differences in timing and fuel. I tried to get Shiv to tell me what one to use but never got a strait answer. Here is the thread (IT HAS BOTH MAPS AVALIBLE FOR DOWNLOAD).

Thanks a ton for the help, Evo_Kid. Now, I am hunting down a 93 Octane 2005 Sub-Zero map for when I go back to Texas. I'm patient though, I have a couple weeks before then.

Thanks again,
Adam

It should be Vishnu apologizing for the delay. I consider the thread justified as there are still people asking for lower stage maps that haven't been posted and we are still stuck using SMART maps with zero'd cells. These SMART-disabled maps have been giving a few of us problems because they take longer to load.

There are still unanswered questions about race gas maps and it would also be nice if you explained the drastic changes in the pump gas maps.

I know you said the stage zero plus map is from a car you tuned in Texas but do you really think its smart to post a map that has only been proven on one car?

I feel you should dedicate a little more time to your existing customer base. Unhappy customers are the primary source to find new ways to improve you customer support.
First off, with all due respect, if you say it shouldn't take a thread like this to get support, then maybe you shouldn't have posted it. I don't understand why you feel the need to make a childish 'threat' if you will, saying you and 'others' can 'bring the hurt on a forum like this' You need to be more persistent on the phone. That is in fact the best way to reach them as they cannot live on the internet. Although you may not think so, sometimes just calling once, twice or three times isn't always enough(many times its because they are on the phone, have you tried leaving a message explaining your issues/complaints?) Keep in mind that these men are very busy, not to mention their recent move to the new shop and everything. Patience is a virtue. Another thing, do you really think they're going to post up a map just to please you, even if they thought it was unsafe?(referring to your "do you really think its smart to post a map.." question) The map has obviously been tried and tested. Anywho, hopefully you don't get offended by my post, and I wish you the best in your future endeavors with vishnu

It shouldn't take 3 phone calls for something as simple as e-mailing a file. There should be a system in place that allows you to leave a message, the calls get sorted and the proper person responds in a timely fashion.

You guys ARE in the service business, after all.

If I was sitting pretty and didn't need anything from these guys then, like you, I too wouldn't understand. This problem has been going on FOR A VERY LONG TIME! MANY MANY people have been asking for maps only to be neglected and not even provided with a BS excuse. This isn't some 24 hour old request that has gone unanswered. This has gone on for weeks and has been happening to multiple people.

As for the threat....You're damn right.....They have my cash and they are happy......for me to be happy I want the software I need. I dont care if I ever talk to a person directly but damned if they shouldn't have a fully functional website with the files EVERYONE needs.

We still do not have answers about the new maps. Read this and tell me how tested these new maps are:

Hey this sounds great except for the fact that most people were running 11:1 AFR (which is not overly conservative) on the old maps and these friggen things have an arseload more fuel taken out.

Vishnus customers need answers to their questions. You can try calling but not very many of those fellas really have a grasp on the tuning thing. All we can do is wait for Shiv.

Just a thought...
I understand where you are coming from and why you are frustrated. My only thought is in Vishnu's defense. In order to create every map they would have to have a car setup in that stage. This takes time....

I have a 03 stage 0+ and just loaded the map that was just placed on the Vishnu site.
There is also considerably more fuel pulled on this map as well. I logged the AF just out of curiosity and it was fine.

You have asked for an official map. Vishnu has provided it. If you still don't trust it I would recommend installing and logging a run or 2.

They are for V3 cars without SMART. The maps still show up but aren't used by the unit.

BTW that AFR chart looks lean as hell in the lower RPM range....you shouldn't be running 12:1 on pump gas.

SHOPPING FOR A WIDEBAND NOW.

I had smart for awhile but sold it.....they are using the innovate software for the LC1. The problem with that is it only reads AFR over time instead of RPM. Not sure how the above fella logged AFR over RPM that's pretty slick though.

I am using donour’s pyxede software. It allows one to log quite a lot.
Timing, Air/Fuel, knock, TPS in, TPS_out, MAF in, MAF out, Timing and waste gate solenoid.

They are logged 100 times per second. I just pull them into a predefined XLS doc and voila

shiv, can you take a look at my logs? I'm attaching my MAF in/out and AFR logs, and also my fuel map. I have an 03 0+ car with SMART XEDE and MR DV.

The problem that I have is strange MAF readings (MAF out especially). This always occurrs around 6100 rpm. It causes a lot of inconvenience and impossible to tune for because the readings are so erratic. I've been adjusting fuel, timing and boost and it seems like there's nothing I can do to make this problem go away.

This run was made at only 11 psi since this fuel map is too agressive for my car. I think my wideband sensor is going bad, but at the same time my car is very knock prone at anything above 11.5-1 afr even with 3.5 degrees of timing pulled. This makes me think that the AFR is somewhat accurate.

I have plenty more examples of these MAF abnormalities even on fuel maps that only have -4% fuel (like v2 old 0+ maps).

Thanks for the help...

How are you cross referencing RPM with that software?

Rushin.....

Are you using the new maps that were just uploaded?
