The post was simply to enlighten readers that bad things can happen.

I'm not saying Vishnu's maps are bad.....but the new ones are very aggressive....much more than in the V2 maps. Shiv do you care to explain why the change in tuning philosophy?

These pump maps are much leaner than the V2 race maps. Why the change?

Lastly do you feel 12:1 AFR on pump between 3k and 5k is acceptable?

The new maps are NOT overgly agressive as evident by the logs and dyno graphs that people have taken. 12:1 is perfectly acceptable from a tailpipe wideband around peak torque when the car is only seeing 1-2 degrees of advance. We've been doing it for years and I have yet to hear of a problem. If you don't like it, tune it yourself.. .sheesh.

Thanks for tolerating my repetative questioning. I just like to be sure.

I never felt it was safe to run that AFR on pump. Its good to know you feel its fine.

I was also very nervous pulling 20% fuel out and adding back 5 degree timing on a race gas map. Again good to hear this is normal.

just to give you more comfort... i ran those maps on strait 91 octane on the track (read: redline for 20mins strait) and they've been fine, less than 10 gallons of anything over 91 has ever been in my tank since i got the car, so you need to fear not.

I believe that the AFR reading were tooken with a tailpipe wideband (like it says in shivs post), and tailpipe WB read leaner then a WB in the DP.
