You're welcome, don't, however, take it as 100% fact, as pointed out in other posts, I'm sure there was a lot of behind the scenes type stuff going on. Conversely, the behind the scenes stuff is a mute point, we're still left with the products and prices at hand.

I think he has come back and said, his current design performs just as well as the old design. That both are just as good, but not exact.

It is a little confusing to me, how names such as 20G, the real 20G, etc are being tossed around. But there have always been tD05h-20g's and td06H-20G's in the DSM world. And I always believed that the full Td06h was the way to go if you wanted a 20G, not a 16G/20G TD05H hybrid. Other then the compressor cover, what is it about the IX turbo that makes it better and able to utilize the 20G wheel more effeciently?

I would be really mad if i was one of the few that bought the original IX 20g upgrades from buschur and paid $1375 for a 6 blade design now being sold for $975 shipped,,, and now with his falling out good luck if you have a problem with it....

Yeah, like me

Or the people who spent $20,000 on a plasma TV.

Such is the way of being an early adopter. Always has been, always will be.

That was awesome superhatch!

I don't regret my purchase (yet) but I'm already thinking ahead to a 50/60 trim or maybe something even bigger. The 20G was more about keeping me satisfied until I can afford what I really want.

Again.. awesome summary.

Well, if nothing else, these "upgrade" turbos have driven down the price of stock turbos and TMEs quite substantially...

Is it possible to just buy the TME turbo without the housing?

What do you mean, without the housing? Without the turbine housing? Without the compressor housing? both?

To be honest, I really don't know... I mean, I know none of the US distributors have them, but the US center section is a replaceable part separate from the housings, so I'm sure the TME CHRA is also available overseas.

Yeah, I don't think so, but they come with 10.5 dual flapper hotsides, you can turn around and sell that for 200+ to recoup your cost of the turbo...
