For the time being, you don't need to enable anything. Just update the firmware, import the old maps and see if it runs like normal. jj 008 says it wont go on-line. Does anyone else have this problem. If so, we can figure out where to look.

I don't know if this means anything but the text on the map buttons is off. I was only able to update firmware with xmap3.0, xupdate gave error and the 2 newer 3.2 versions did not flash the xede. I'm ready to continue testing.

Yeah... i'll have to get you guys an updated timing/pattern file. That's why you aren't getting an RPM reading. And also why your XEDE isn't coming on-line with the engine running.

just flashed the Xede 3 times and still do not get RPM signal and get the offline orange blinking light.
I made sure all previous version were deleted before I re-flased firmware,
I don't know if this is important; but my XEDE will not accept fimware flash from any Xmap 3.2 version, it just stays there asking for Xede reset. No mater how many times turn the ignition on and off it does nothing, with V3.2.0.13 i get an orange blinking light after a few seconds in boot mode during the start of the update process. I can only update firmware with Xmap 3.0. Am I doing something wrong?

I finally got my xede to update tonight. I had to use XUpdate to update the firmware. Also i had to really flick the car on and off a couple times to get it to go.
Then it was stuck in boot mode. I unplugged the grey connector for about 10 seconds then plugged it back in.
At this point the xede came back online just fine. The new xmap shows the proper software version when i get information from the xede. The buttons for the map names (and on the summary screen) are incorrect and appear as "RT Timing" where it should of course be "Smart Timing". Other than that I am ready for the next step.
