j/k man ... I just couldn't resist.
#12 - I just ran it up to the 4th rev limiter each time and let off, which while only a few short seconds, put plenty enough distance into him such that there was clearly no debate as to the outcome.
#14 - I also had the pleasure of meeting a CLS55 when I had the TME, and it was good match. For whatever reason, the CL55 is up another 25bhp as compared to the CLS55, although they both use the same engine. I'm not ready for the CL65 until I install a new clutch and a few more tricks.
It isn't quiet, but the nice thing about a BIG turbo is one dosn't hear it until there is enough boost pressure to activate it (e.g. >5000 rpm). Therefore, it sounds relatively normal until or unless one really puts his foot into it and the tach rises beyond normal operating rpm. I could never have had set it up this way with a smaller turbo and kept my sanity. Additionally, everything sounds different and better with the large turbo. I'm not sure why, but it is what it is.
As far as waking the dead, I've received no complaints from them thus far.

I don't think we'll find anyone to argue that point, but considering the difference in our respective investments, I'll take my less refined, noisier, rougher riding rolling experiment and keep the extra $75k in my pocket.
lol, that is true as well.
