Thoughts on what an IX on 91 w/ 3071 + TBE w/ HFC would throw down? Keep in mind stock exhaust cam too.

Ludikraut, this statement makes absolutely no sense..care to elaborate on what you meant to say?

The IX block can sustain more boost than the VIII block before knock activity gets out of hand

I would hope he meant head. I know I'm not the only one that's heard the IX has revised cooling passages in the head that allows more aggressive tuning.

This seems lik eit will be a good between V390 and V500 turbo like a V450. A stock turbo with hotside and meth can make that power. I would be interested to see what happens when you put a price tag on a turbo like that?

Sorry, brainfart on my part. Yes, I meant revised cooling passages in the head. Something my own head seems to need as well, it seems.

In any case, look at the boost Shiv runs on the IX vs. the VIII. That's why I don't think 330whp should be much of an issue on an IX.

The block is different too. They are different part numbers from Mitsubishi.

Guys at Vishnu, any plans on updating the web site to include turbo upgrade options for us IX owners? Because some parts wont fly on the IX that are listed for the VIII or you may replace it with something, who knows, would like to see pricing data too.

OK I think I have this completely figured out. I post a dyno chart of absolutely nothing to make people ask questions. I sit back and act like a badass while people debate over what's going on. Then after things get a little crazy I come back and say " It's XX turbo, and I can make your A/F curve look like ****, just look at my dyno chart"

This thread is a joke. I can't believe people give their money to this guy.

ORRRR, maybe you just didn't read the part where he said:

Good job posting a dyno chart from a Honda, buddy. You are aware that NA cars and turbo cars have to have different AFRs right? Obviously your GVR4 is turbo, but I imagine you don't tune it yourself bc if you tried to run it's AFR in the teens, it'd pop.
