Merry Xmas to all! Just a quick FYI: The xede does not deaden the sensivity of the factory knock sensor

I would also love to tune an FP Green. I really don't know of anyone who is running one in the Bay area yet. We've tuned a bunch of them on Sti and they usually max out around 350whp on our DD dyno. Of course, this is on an STi and I believe that particular Green runs a smaller, more restrictive, exhaust housing (for fitment reasons) than what should/could be used on the Evo variant.

I never made 350WHP on Andrews Dyno on pump...

I made 312WHP/280WTQ on pump and 343WHP/335WTQ on meth in a 105 degree dyno room.

I then put my car on a dynojet without changing anything to get comparitive numbers. 342WHP/316WTQ on pump and 373WHP/365WTQ on meth in a 98 degree dyno room.

Pump, boost was 23psi until 5000RPM tapering to 18lbs at 7700. Meth, boost was 25lbs until 5000RPM tapering to the same 18lbs at redline.

The mods were...

ported exhaust mani
TME
HKS 272s +2/0
Megan O2, full 3" exhaust, no cat.
AMS LICP
Greddy BOV
AMS Alky kit
XedeFlash
Xede

The car also had 275s on it which werea few lbs heavier each than stock wheels tires (maybe 5-10HP)

Those are the facts on my old car, I've got both dyno printouts in front of me.

That is not a rumor, it is confirmed.

A good friend of mine was "tuned" on that DD in CT. He made 410WHP. He then took his car, with no changes, to the same dynojet I mentioned in the above thread, and made a lousy 380WHP. That DD in CT shouldn't be compared to anyone else's DD or any other dyno as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah... I heard about this as well from the folks at Dyno Dynamics USA as well. Needless to say, they aren't happy about it either. They did have some pretty funny stories though...

I have a video of that 410WHP DD car racing a 378WHP DJ car and the results also confirm this story... but I can't post that here. PM me if u want it.

At least the losing car found a ral tuner that made over 500WHP on a DJ with just tuning changes.

Thats interesting because I made 300whp on that DD in CT, and last fall at turbotrix I made 347whp, which is about 12% difference that Shiv says is between the two dynos. BY THE WAY I WAS NOT GETTING TUNED there, just getting a three free pulls. Only SHIV gets to tune my car

As said before, Shiv knows a lot more about the Xede than I do...Thanks for the FYI

“The Shop” DD dyno in CT is one messed up dyno; your result will depend on how it's manipulated that day. I would not trust that dyno. It will probably give you 400 whp if you go back next week...

I'm finally getting caught up on this thread...... Its actually nice to have Dyno4mance in the thread. This forum has been dead and I hate to see that. Nice a see another vendor giving props to the XEDE. Seems like these things have been getting neglected since ECUFlash released.

I think the LT is a great turbo...... I think the reason more people aren't jumping on it is because they've already gotten burned on the original 20G. If I had purchased one of those 20G9-5s I would be pi$$ed off to no end right now.

$1700 is still alot of money for most of us. I understand where the cost comes from and I'm not saying BR is asking too much but unless you are VERY competitive I don't think it will be an easy decision. I'm happy with my car the way it is but sure would like an additional 50whp on race days. The problem for me is I would need injectors, clutch, turbo, install kit, and a retune. Tossing those things into the equation puts me at $3500. It sure is fun to read about though so here I am!

I hear ya on that. I'm not pissed but it really sucks. It costs 1000 to upgrade too.. so you're better off selling and buying the new one. If you're running a stock turbo you can sell it to recoup some of the cost.

Don't forget about the effects of an additional 50whp on your entire drivetrain in conjuction with roadracing
