What does Shiv think of the FP EvoGreen?

Before I spend $1600 bucks on this turbo, I would like to have Shiv's take on this new turbo. Is it a flop like the white rabbit and BR 20G ver.1 and 2?

I currently have the TME on my car, basically a stage 1++

It would be nice if he tested a car with this turbo and gave an HONEST opinion. But it is proven to flow 46-48 lbs of air via dsm link, that is better then most 30r series turbos will do.

give Andrew a call at dyno4mance.com a call, they just tuned two cars with the turbo. I was their and I think that it make a nice upgrade. do a search for it. I think that the cars picked up like 30-40 whp.not bad for just a bolt on.

I've read all the threads, I just wanted to see if Shiv has tuned a EvoGreen yet and what he thinks about the turbo.

There have been a number of turbos that have come out for the Evo with a lot of hype -- most of which did not live up to expectations.

The TME is a great turbo. I would hold on to it and wait patiently. I am sure within the next couple months we will have some solid answers. Let others gamble their $1600

I also read that 2 cars were headed to Andrew at Dyno4mance. That should be an interesting review.

The reviews are already out there...I would like to hear Andrew at Dyno4mance wade in with his opinion instead of the "Andrew said..."

I dont think I'd buy it...someone just made 327whp @ 23psi with the basic bolt-on's....isnt that the norm. for the stock IX turbo?

wait nvm im stupid, that was made on a VIII and i just read it again and he had more than bolt-ons here is the link to the thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...&highlight=20G ..I still wouldnt get one though just because its 1700 for just a turbo that could or could not perform (not enough evidence yet)

Awwwww, come on. It's fun to line up nose to tail and run over the cliff.

Here's a Shiv tuned TME, which is basically a stock turbo with light internals. Should make as much power as a stocker, only spool a bit quicker. The car is an 03 with fmic and 272 hks cams, 02 housing, no cat, cam gears set to -3/-3 and 21-22#'s of boost. The dyno is a dynodynamics, calibrated off of Dyno4mance's dyno. In the local Houston area, it's called the heartbreak dyno, so it's results should be identical to Dyno4mance's. For whatever it's worth in this debate. I'd post it in the engine/drivetrain forum, but I'm sure I'd get typical responses about being a "hater" and all. I don't see a 40 whp gain over stock turbo.

Good graph....But is that not pump and race gas?... it is quite normal to see those figures from a TME, I think the highest on pump I have seen is 314 whp on 93 ( It is still a great turbo IMO)
Remember that we tuned 2 cars.....We also tuned a red evo the same day as the one that made 327whp with a $45.00 hotside upgrade available from FP when you order that had HKS cams instead of GSC and a slightly different intake.
With Ecuflash (that has it's limitations) we saw 354 whp on our dyno with stock spool characteristics... with an Xede I am certain a lot more can be gained as you are not fighting the factory sensitive ECU as much...
This turbo is by far WAY more efficient than a stock 9 unit....On a very consevative meth map we saw @ 370 to the wheels at a measly 25 psi in the mid range ..that is Garrett 3076 territory.

For comparison, Just 2 weeks ago we had a 9 on the dyno running Ecuflash with a stock turbo with a 75 shot of nitrous on it ( I know, but the customer gets what the customer wants)..it made 300 whp on 93 oct only and 380whp with the N20...For my money I know what I would have....
My 2c
