I have an EVO. Pretty much stock. Well I was issued a REF ticket yesterday, and i was wondering if my vishnu reflashed ECU will be ok for the sniffer. Or will I need to reflash it to stock.

wow.. the gave you a ref ticket for an exhaust? what kind of moro cop does that. usually its a fix it at the most. Especially because your engine bay appears bone stock, they usually let you go. i have been pulled over twice for "inspections" (with turbo upgrade, and everythign in my sig), and i dared him to find mods under my hood, and he couldnt so he let me go despite my loudish exhaust.

 

eh new law in cali allows the officer to do it now on exhausts its gay as hell i got one for my and it is now a mark on your license but not a point

could be worse. exhaust tickets here in mass get you 2 points on your license.

Have you run it through the sniffer yet? I'd guess that the reflash is probably cleaner than stock since it won't be running as rich.

 

You will be fine. I have xede, cams, flash, exhaust. Car passed smog with 3"TBE and RRE HFC. Car needed stock Cat back exhaust reinstalled to pass Ref's decibal test. I left on DP and RRE HFC for DB test.

HKS 272/264. All HKS test the same. My car passed smog with tons of room to spare.
