How is that narrow minded. Any piggyback will probably become obsolete as soon as the stock ECU is cracked on the X. Believe me on the VIII/IX anything the Xede did was pretty much replicated in Ecuflash. Other than conditional tuning and SMART. Hell even closed loop boost control was achieved on the stock ECU.

I'm not knocking the products, it's the customer support that I have problems with. Shiv tends to leave platforms behind constantly. He did it with the WRX then STI and Evo. He completely fell of the face of the planet on these boards. I don't care if he only really does ECU tuning, you can't just disappear on your customers. With the falling out he had with Chip Torque, he never did anything with Xede anymore. He didn't even try to progress the stock ECU and keep innovating.

He could have just as easily done his thing with the Bimmers and still been on here from time to time to show support for us evo owners. Like "Hey is there any interest in a dyno tuning day in the _____ region?" Or "I have this new Proceed piggyback that I want to introduce to the Evo owners, it has the added benefits of ______ over the the Xede."

I don't even know where his shop is anymore. What happened to the infamous Vishnu heartbreaker DD? The evo market is now saturated and he has to convince us to buy his product and that he is there to support us. Why should we go to him when we have all these vendors that specialize in not only evos but other cars as well, yet are here to support us if we need something?

Look at how many threads Vishnu has in their forum on the Xede that aren't answered by Shiv or some of his employees. He has left us with no choice but to move on, not only that, people that don't even really get paid for their work have surpassed any contributions that Shiv has made to these boards.

The ball is in Shiv's court he has to provide us (customers) with a reason why to go with him over our current network of vendors that have been here all along. You can be a blind fanboi if you wish and go running back with open arms but, I'm thinking long term. I want to know that the support for any car I have is going to be there for the length of time I have the car (3-4 years). Can you say that about Vishnu right now? Nope.

+1 and well said dude.

It does indeed seem like Shiv goes from new car to new car. It's nothing wrong with that. It just shows that he's loyal ONLY for the time being. When the GT-R comes out, I'm sure he'll jump on that.. and then something else new.. etc..

We still offer just about every product and service that we've ever did for the Evo and Subaru. It's just that we don't have the time to have a forum presence on every forum at all times. We will naturally slide from forum to forum (and back) as new features/applications/etc,. are developed. This has nothing to do with loyalty. This is just business. We've devoted most of our time in the last year to the BMW market and we did something that no other tuner has ever done for that market. And with the 135, X6 and other turbocharged BMWs coming in the near future, we'll always devote a substantial amount of our time to that market. It's just too big to ignore. Our business model focuses on engine management. In our case, this is our own PROcede computer. It has been designed to be universal. As such, 90% of our time is spent on application development. The good news is that every feature improvement we make in one application translates to every other one. It took us over 1 year to get the BMW PROcede to where it is now. But all that development allowed us to develop the Evo X PROcede in such a short time. It also means that we have a lot of time to develop Evo specific features that we think customers will appreciate. And yes, I suspect a lot of these features will find themselves in the upcoming Skyline PROcede. And so on

Wow, Shiv's back on EVOM after a 9 month absence! Hopefully that is a good sign of things to come. Been waiting to get my car tuned for a year now . . .

Yea I want a touch-up flash on my EVO IX too Shiv!!

It's going to be interesting to see what tools other tuners will use in order to tune the new X. Sounds like Shiv is using his BMW product on the EVO which is pretty dang neat. As of now, others are just slapping on bolt-ons and watching how the car reacts.

Nice to see your actual thoughts. Yeah it's one thing to not be as active on a forum as before, but the way you just disappeared is redonkulous, and is no way to run a business. Then again I'm not one to judge you so this will be my last post on this thread. Just caveat emptor.

Will the EVO 8/9 Xede work on the EVO X? Or will you have to use a PROcede?

Time spent is loyality I'm afraid.

I understand it's a business and I understand that you can't just concentrate on one car for several years especially since there are several tuners for the car (not to mention cars get old). But that also means you should understand people's comments about your lack of time being spent indulging customers for a particular platform. There are other shops that do stick around for the long haul and only indulge one particular platform for whatever reason.
