the tune up i bought from shiv for my IX caused massive detionation and fuel usage, i paid $750 for it and had to get another tune befor my motor blew up, its your money but ide go elsewhere.

oh ya i should add, dustin did tell me all i needed to do was run "good" fuel to keep it from knocking....i guess if i wanted to run around on race gas i could of kept shivs tune up.

and thats why i was surprised that vishnu got another plug for tuning he X in the edmunds.com

i guess they have a great "PR" machine but from what i have been reading, the product leaves much to be desired.

I was never big on piggybacks anyhow

I don't get it. Some people make it sound as if once the updates stop coming for the procede the originally earned HP and TQ gains are gone. There is a limit each engine can get on a simple piggy back. Also, mods rarely have re-sale value. I happened to like the ease of install and especially uninstall of the Vishnu product and look forward to doing business with them for the Mitsubishi EVO X.

Edmunds has already tested a Vishnu car. Vishnu, can you shoot a aprox release date?

Vishnu! make our power band smooth and EVO like again!!

Ah yes...the magic of online forums. It amazes me how easily people are willing to bash on not only vendors on this forum...but even the cars that at the forum is focused on. I'd be willing to bet that a lot of people putting out negative information about Vishnu have either a) never experienced their products/service first hand or b) went ape s*** when Vishnu didn't snap to attention when they had an issue.

I am lucky enough to be in Nor Cal and close to many talented tuners. I chose to go with Vishnu for my Evo 8 because of their reputation as well as their proximity. Shiv personally tuned my car and took the time to make sure I understood what he had done. He even took me for a "Hell Ride" in the rain after the tune . So after putting 35K miles on his Stage 1+ tune I had experienced absolutely no issues. But...whenever I had questions either Shiv or Dustin took time out of their day to help me.

I will be returning to Vishnu with my X and I can't wait to see what Shiv does with the PROcede.

Just one man's opinion...but Vishnu is a great company.

Another thing, will this ECU mod compensate for a added catback exhaust and intake?

Ok off-topic, but there's been a lot of Vishnu-bashing and half the time the tunes that knock arent running the same gas or the parts are different if you follow all the posts. People are retarded.

Shiv's tuned both my past and present Evo and I can tell you that my tune doesn't knock and makes +65whp with just the tune. I have posted my Evoscan logs before and they're money. Ok back on topic now..

Ah yes, the magic of online forums where the mindless fanboys rush to defend their heroes.

BTW - If you're dieing for that Procede, go to the BMW forums where you can buy them for about 50% off.

And vice versa. Where the mindless haters have to always throw their unwanted opinions in.

One thing to keep in mind is that all cars are different. The generic version of the maps in the PROCeed will more than likely tend to be on the conservative side to be compatible with all / most cars. So it will probably not make the same power as the Vishnu shop car which was custom tuned on a Dyno. Same holds true for the cars that will get generic ECU flashes from other vendors. In the past Vishnu, WORKS and others had inventories of maps for a certain range of mods, for example, exhausts, O2 housings, down pipes, cams and combinations of those.

I'm guessing that you fall into category "A" from my original post...so basically you're adding nothing to the discussion.

And before you refer to someone as mindless...check your spelling.

Actually no, I am neither of your straw men. Of course, in your very narrow mindset that can't be because Vishnu is perfect. So, open your mind and just for once accept that Vishnu may not be perfect or even the best choice. BTW - My spelling is poor, but it's fairly obvious who uses their intellect and who doesn't. You thoughtless refute of anyone that complains about Vishnu clearly illustrates which category you fall into.

Not a hater, but an actual customer that wasn't overly impressed with either the product or service. Of course, as a mindless fanboy, you can't accept this.

Wow, I guess I reavealed a lot about myself in my post didn't I . So now that you've revealed that you fall into category "B" it's apparent that you CAN in fact add to the discussion. Maybe instead of just attacking people's opinions and using the fanboy card...you can just resopond with your experience and make yourself useful.

I personally don't care who buys what for their cars...I simply stated my experience and my opinion. You talk about intellect in your replies...you should have picked up on that. I'm still scratching my head as to how my good experience with Vishnu makes me narrow minded. I like their product and had great support...what more can one ask for? Nowhere in any of my posts did I say that they were either perfect or the best choice. But I DID say that they are the best choice for ME.

How am I a fan boy? I have never owned their product. I am simply showing interest in it. I'm sorry that their product somehow left you bitter, I hope my experience is not the same. Just because someone else has had a good experience with their product though doesn't make them some blind fan boy.
