Checked the List

List looks good. I will be in Friday night, staying Friday and Saturday nights at the hotel. Just let me know where we are going to be. I ordered my fuel pump this morning . I wish I know you had some for sale.

I will not be doing the track thing. I may go check them out..... I will have my daughter with me. Yes, the EVO can pass as a family car on occasion.

Later, got to get back to Mardi Gras!!!!

Just a quick note.. One place you guys might call for a hotel... In Town Suites... It is on cooper st in arlington... Be careful; there are a few on cooper... This one is on Cooper and Colorado; which is like 1000 ft from Alamo.. I'm going to ask my friend too (because they own a hotel in arlington; but it is further from Alamo); but I'm not sure if he will hook it up... Let's try to get a headcount going and see Who will be staying and which nights..

Eric,

I would like to know what is the track schedule looks like? (what time the track becomes hot and how many sessions one can run per day....etc)
The track opens at 9AM till 5PM, it is a normal member day so they run 30 minute sessions back to back all day long. The sessions are split up depending on who shows up. For example there will probably be some people in motorcycles, sports cars like us, and maybe some open wheel race cars, so they will alternate runs between these three groups all day long. As a guest each session you participate in costs $20 and it is automatically billed to the member who sponsored you as a guest (namely me). You can show up whenever you want and run as many sessions as you like. All I ask is that at the end of the day you reimburse me the $20 for each session that you run.
Passengers are allowed, but nomex driving suites and helmet are required, (sometimes you can get by without a suite, depends who is working that day). If you don't have these, you can rent them from the track ($15 for the day), passengers can usually get by with just a helmet, so at least bring your helmets.

Is this thing limit to EVOs only?
Since this is last minute and we really don't have time to organize a focus day, we need to limit participation to experienced track drivers. I am giving preference to EVO owners this day, if we end up with a small group I will squeeze in as many other types of cars as I can. Technically your only supposed to have one guest at a time, but this rule has never been enforced. I already spoke with the track owner (Jack Farr) and told him about this EVO get together and he has already said I could have up to 10 guests that day. He recently drove another members EVO on the track and was highly impressed with it, he is considering getting one himself.

It would be helpful to know how many EVO owners are planning to run that day. Right now I know of four EVO's, including myself.

Eric - is the 14th MSR invite for Evos specifically? or would a slocus running past some folks be upsetting? heh.
Your always welcome, you know that. Having a car out there to lap is always a good ego booster

For more info about the track visit http://www.motorsportranch.com/

This invite is all about having fun, there is no competition and no one has to pruve anything. This is a tight technical course but there are a couple of striaghts where you will go well over 100 MPH. I hope you can all make it, I think you guy's will really enjoy it. For those that cannot drive I will gladly take passengers.

Kind regards,

Eric

I'll be there.

I've got couple non-EVO friends (both experienced track junkies) who would like to tag along also.

Any time someone needs a boost, I'm there! heh.

If things fill up, I'll simply try and get some got pictures and video.. Does anyone have a good video camera mount, or design for a easy to make mount that can be quickly switched between any car or even evo specific? If it's not too expensive maybe I'll try to whip up a mount or three for some in car footage sans the shakiness/footwell/pillar coverage... I still need to digitize the muddy rooster tail from you and Jack last year...

I'm getting upset about this whole deal... I ordered a stage 1 kit; told it is in stock and will be shipped monday... Now I call them (Friday) and it still hasn't shipped because they say they are waiting on the exhaust... What happened to the one you were supposed to ship last week? I've already been charged which I feel is bs... Why should I pay in full for something that I won't get for who knows how long.... On another forum Shiv wrote the kits were going to start coming with the fuel pumps, which they don't... To top it off I was charged $300 extra bucks for the tuning; without even being asked... No one ever mentioned how much that was going to be.. Not that I'm expecting to get it for free, but I'd at least like to be asked before getting charged... I'm just frustrated now...
