I was being a clown. Dont know but looks like we got the basics in Austin/ San Antone - Houston might have a few but Im sure someone in Dallas/ Ft. Worth has a big sleeper somewere
I know of a pearl white Evo here in Dallas running the Greddy turbo kit with the T67 I think, and I believe Brice at Alamo is running the same. The pearl white Evo is nice but I think that it is sponcered by a stereo company so it does have a lot of weight in the rear. Still pretty fast though, aroung 400 WHP from what I understand.

I know, I have a brand new JL 500/5 sitting in the house and Diamond Audio Hex separates just waiting to go in. I had a MacIntosh head with the outboard D/A converter along with the 6 disk changer but I sold them. They sounded great, but there were absolutely no other functions in the head, I mean no clock (I know that sounds dumb but my turbo timer is where the clock was) you could not scan through a disk, you could only go to the next, and some other things. Newer heads like the Eclipse 8443 (I think that is the number) have nearly the same clarity but are much more user friendly. By using something like that it has a built in 13 band eq so I can ditch the outboard 30 band and the associated complexity. I am just in a quandry as to if I want the extra weight and my car is loud as hell right now so I do not know if the extra audio will be worth it. I have always had a system, I actually started off running a Best Buy CarFi department in Dallas and then went to Car Toys for a long time selling and installing. I had a 535i that had the lights, linear actuators, second battery, 30 band Orion Concept 97.2 (now called a DEQ 30 which I still have), Fosgate Power 12's running aperiodic mats and all of that stuff, but I also had the 400+ lbs in the trunk as well. I will probably put a small system in the car using what I have along with a JL 12W3 or something similar, but I have been concentrating on go-fast bits so far. I would like to see and hear your car when you come down just to see what you have done. I am thinking about relocating the battery to the rear using a red top and glassing a box up under the package shelf to keep the weight as centralised towards the middle of the car as possible. I do not want the extra pounds hanging out past the rear axle.

) Got in the car the next morning and the left front mid(morel) and rear sub/midbass (IDQ) were ratteling toast
I will prolly replace the IDQs with hex 6.5s in a custom fiberglass undertray box and just buy another 200 buck freaking morel. I guess turn the radio down if you have a TT
Yea, thats why I don't want to sell it, it's one bad m/f'er. Digital toslink in and out, adjustable high level outputs with a clipping led warning light, all sorts of cool stuff. I am not using it but I am not going to let it go either as it was only made for one year before the DEQ-30 came out and I believe only 1200 of them were made in that year period. I love the car audio equipment, I just hate the weight! It just didn't matter in my last car which was a Tahoe. Two 12L7's in a 5.5 cu. ft. ported box being fed 1800 watts kicked some bootie! Just turn up the little dial going to the Phoenix Gold Bass Cube and it was on, all sorts of cabin gain.
I hope you have some of the problems taken care of when you get here as I would like to hear it. And by the way, I know the 1812 Oveture well. IASCA will do that to you!
And by the way, is Pyramid Audio still in Austin? I sent my Mac head there to be converted from the propriatery Mac/Clarion fiber optic cable to toslink so that I could run it through the 97.2 digitally. I forget the guys name who did it but he used to write reviews for one of the car audio magazines.
