Brand New Chicago Dyno Day thread!
#46
OK - I talked with Bret earlier today, and he's going to ask Shiv to take a look at our list. If we meet the requirments I'll work on scheduling a date and setting up a facility.

Make sure when you are scheduling a date you give everyone ample time to order and recieve and install the mods needed before the dyno day. cause if there isn't enough time for all of that you won't get as many people as anticipated

Good point, heshamnaim! Though I'll just be happy when we get a place scheduled at all
I'm close to needing a Stage 1 custom XFlash tune...I hope the parts are in stock!
Why just get an XFlash? Like someone told me...it's only money right?

I have a custom tuned DynoFlash. I also have an Xede sitting on my living room center table.
Shiv, you willing to try and take a crack at improving my ride? I remember we talked about this possibility before. I'm looking for a bit of idle and off idle tuning. And if you can add to the rest of my tune, that would be gravy.
I'm still deciding on whether or not to run cam gears. ( I have HK$ 264 in/ex with 660cc denso injectors) According to some posts, retarding the cam timing may help with the idle, especially if staggard.
If Shiv's willing to try and tune on top of my current tune, count me in for a custom tune.

I'll try to schedule the date for early to mid July - that should give everyone enough time to get the needed parts installed. I'm also going to see if there is a track event scheduled nearby for a Sunday around that time; that would be a perfect way to test out the new tunes...

The Chicago Sports Car Club has an autocross on July 25th. See this link for more details. It's not a track day perse but it's close?????

The later in July, the better for me too...
I'm working on getting my Vishnu standard turbo-back installed.
When/If that happens, I'll be needing a Stage 0+ custom XFlash. Erioshi, I'll keep you updated...

Alright then - I'll target late July. I'm hoping we can have the event before I get back on BIR in early August; I'm hoping with the new cams and a good tune I can see 150 mph on the front straight. I'm probably being a bit optomistic, but it would be fun!

I'm buying my parts now. Good for you for being strong-willed enough to wait-you're a better man than me
Lousy fantastic Vishnu parts...how can you resist?!

I would consider driving to Andrew's from Cincinnati. Reports of the last dyno day there were outstanding and his correspondance since then has been very professional. So, anyone think we could do Georgia part Deux?
