if i was tuned for alky and since i can also run a 50/50 mix of meth and water is it possible to run 100% meth instead and turn my boost up more with out getting it tuned again... sorry i am a noob and i havent been able to find out this answer, before i get flammed i searched for a long time on this one and came up empty handed. I would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this subject...

 

when you go from 50/50 to 100% meth, depends on how big your injection nozzle is, it will affect your tune

-latent heat of vaporization goes down
-octane goes up
-AFR goes down

get a retune for the change of injectant to get the best performance

 

If you were tuned for 50/50, stick with it. If you want to run 100% meth, get a new tune. If you just crank the boost, you're asking for a rebuild.

 

If you have access to a dyno or WB02 you could increase boost going to 100% meth. The correct amount of 50/50 with your current tune should have dropped A/F by 1/2pt. If you leave your tune alone and just change to 100% meth, it will drop your A/F 1pt. You could then add boost 1-2psi at a time until your A/F goes back to your same ratio as with 50/50.

Due to safety it is better to use 50/50 then 100% in the event any spills in your hot engine bay. It could then ignite and burns an almost invisible flame.

thanks you guys for your help i think i am just going to get it tuned again for 100% and as far as a fire i have my tank and pump mounted in my trunk across from the windshield washer bottle....

 

what kind of AFR are most guys seeing when they run 100% meth?
