There isn't much point using 180C winding for the coil. EPDM seal will be damaged and all water will be pushed out of the valve at ~8.5bar + 125psi pump pressure.
So pretty much anything over 100C is getting too hot and by maybe 125-130 you are getting close to a failure.

The failure often happens during the off state - lack of water cooling. The other side of the bulkhead, in the wiper motor area is a good choice. Keep away from direct rain spray if possible.

When I get a chance I will check out the area on the other side of the firewall. I'll see if I can find a good place for everyone to mount their HSV and flow sensor.

Richard, just to check, we also want some moving air over the sensor and HSV correct? Also the flow sensor can not be too near the wiper motors.

how about heat shields around the HSV?

let us know if there is better location to mount HSV. thanks all.
