Best Pump????
OK. I am done with SMC and the crap flojet pumps on their kits. I have been through 3 of them and I could care less if they are warrentied or not. I am not putting another one back on my car. With that said. What do you think is the best possible replacement that I can still use with the SMC controller? Any way of using a stock fuel pump?
Sorry to bring this up again, but where you guys able to directly swap out the SMC kit flojet pump with a shurflo/coolingmist pump without any issues?
After two years my flojet pump is loosing pressure and I'm looking into a better replacement pump that works with the smc controller.
thx!

It used to be around 100psi, but now its dropped down to 80psi. I had to compensate by switching the smc v2 controller dip switch to the highest output setting to keep the pressure at 100psi.
This tells me the pump seals are probably worn out and need to be replaced soon.
Rather than get another flojet pump, i'm looking for a alternative durable pump that will work with the smc controller?
Has anyone successfully done this??

Thanks for the info SlowCar.
I read on turbo buick forum smc tried using a 100w shurflo pump in the past but gave up on it due its larger size/mounting and some wiring issues. The question is then can the smc controller still handle the higher current?
I guess the only way to find out a shurflo pump can safely work with the controller is to call smc.

Also ask him about reliability issues too on high load operations.
