I'm not worried about the price of the kit. It's the inconvience of looking for and supplying my meth.
Abner (slowcar) made good power numbers and torque a few years ago on his stock turbo Evo 8 9.8 hotside. His power was great and he even achieved his goals with 87oct. It has been done, I would definately consult with him.

One downside he ran was that the water injected was causing missfire(too much water), HKS DLI II fixed the issue.

Okay grenade maybe you can help get some rough numbers. If you use a 2.5 gallon container, how much meth(%) are you gonna use? How often would you fill it? Then I can gage how much it costs per gallon and figure out what I'll be shelling out a week to fill my meth. I'm not an aggressive driver by any means. I drive 80miles roundtrip from work and I would like the meth kit to be Active but not eat up my meth supply while I'm cruising at 70mph on the highway.

the aquamist , and I suppose the other kits too, only spray when you are boosting more than about 10 psi. Your Meth will last forever if you don't boost more than 10 psi.

The most important thing I have found is to use distilled water so you don't get the mineral build up. Using washer fluid would be a big no for me as it will clog the jet over time.
I have been running straight water but have some meth waiting for me. I'll run 50/50.

remember...100% gives cooling and increases octane like race gas. Water reduces temps more, will not yield same results as 100%meth. I would use water as adder for better temps with a big turbo/race setup. Don't waste your time with water...

I should have expected the reponses I'm getting. Thanks guys. I didn't know you could control off of just boost settings, I thought it was a lot more complicated than that. I'll need to find a reliable source of methanol still.

You're not gonna waste meth while cruising...only when you hit the boost you set your kit at, idc....I purchase a sealed VP 5 gal drum roughly every 1-2 months.

Check www.vpracingfuels.com or call your region for a list of local distributors.

This came off a corvette forum. The guy was an evo owner.
Not a vette, but my Evo is making and tuned for 500awhp on pump gas with Windshield Wiper Fluid. The lower the rating of the Wiper Fluid the more effective it is. I used the -20F.

Thanks Evoryder....now that's some good info. If I can do half of what you're doing and mix 50/50 then maybe I'll only have to buy it every 2-4 months theoretically.

First I'm trying to gage how much i'd use seeing as though it's a daily driver and I only accelerate somewhat hard when I'm going onto the highway ramp. Other than that it's normal driving. If what you're saying is correct and I'm sure it is then I won't use as much as I thought I was. So meth wouldn't be as much of a pain as I though.

Yeah, 50/50 is a good substitute. The mix is not volatile so even if you have a leak in your engine it wont catch fire like 100% meth would.

Using washerfluid is like drinking water from a hose. Sure it's water, but wouldn't you rather either filtered water or something from a bottle?

yeah...you don't fill up meth every week like at a gast station. maybe your meth reservoir tank.

You should buy in bulk. That way it lasts longer, and will not have you going back and forth every few weeks.
