i guess my thing is that I wanna make 500whp with my 35r and I'm good, I don't need more than that until I decide to build my motor. So if I can do something like the Windshield washer fluid and get my power goal achieved with no ill side effects then why pay more for straight meth?

It's your car. We can only lead you to the meth, it's your choice to drink it.

Haha, ok well if I found that I can get away with 25% meth and 75%water mix to achieve my 500hp safely then I'd do it.

Heres a statement from a site that deals with meth injection.

There are many places to buy straight methanol, found here, but if you are going to use a water/methanol mixture, the easiest (and cheapest) is to buy the blue windshield washer fluid that is used during winter time to prevent the fluid from freezing. It may sound cheap ($1.29-$1.99 per gallon), but it is just as good as any methanol/water mixture you would make otherwise. The blue is just a dye, and an extremely insignificant amount (<1%). Some of the washer fluids, such as RainX, contain cleaning additives, but this is easily determined by shaking the bottle and seeing of it suds up like soapy water. If it does, don't buy it, but if it doesn't, then it is good to use. There are many different brands out there, but they all have common amounts of methanol for their respective temperature rating, regardless of the brand. We have many MSDS's (Material Safety Data Sheets) from different companies to support the following data, but only one per temperature rating is available for viewing, which is representative of all the brands (within a few percent) that produce that specific temperature rating. To view the MSDS, simply click on the item

I have the snow stage 2 meth kit and run peak -20 degree windshield washer fluid. my boost is only set to about 26 lbs on stock turbo but I got around 30 hp with just the system. The peak windshield fluid is 1.59 a gallon and is 33% meth. I get 12 gallons for 20 dollars and it lasts forever.

From Snow Performance's site.

6. Where can I purchase Methanol?

SP sells 50/50% methanol/waterMethanol as Boost Juice™ (see products). Methanol can generally be purchased where racing fuels are sold. Also, most gas line dryers like "Heat" are simply Methanol. Suppliers of industrial chemicals can also supply Methanol usually at a higher price than fuel suppliers.

If all else fails, most windshield washer fluids are up to 40% Methanol and 58% water. Although most contain some glycol and detergent(less than 1%), most windshield washer fluids are up to 40% methanol. Try to find one that indicates "contains methanol" and is rated to -20ºf.

Methanol can be purchased on the web at www.worldwideracingfuels.com and hiperfuels.com.

so is that a good price? what are you selling it for? It's much easier to obviously pick it up local than worrying about shipping.

ok so this local K&G Speed Shop obviously sells it at a good price. Thanks again Sean. Once my kit comes in the mail I'll install it with my turbo kit and give you a shout for an appointment. Could you give a rough prediction of the power I'll make on your dyno with 100% meth, HTA35R and full supporting mods, minus cams? You said you won't do 500 for 93pump gas but what about this?

Or....you could just install an AEM kit with the new 5 gallon tank and run 100% meth all day long!

5gallon? that thing better run for a month!!! The more research I do the more I lean toward 100% meth. If I can get away with only using a 4qt.(gallon) tank and only fill it up when I fill my gas tank then I'm happy with that. Most of my miles come from very mild 65-70mph highway drives to and from work. 80 miles round trip

I actually just installed the 5 gallon tank an hour ago! I was running a 2 quart tank and track days were so hard as would run dry every 20 minutes! The 5 gallon tank should indeed do the trick.
Also, you could always get a tactrix cable and have a tune done for 100% water and one for 100% meth, and switch over when you run out and have to wait for a re-supply of meth. It has worked out for me in the past. Good Luck!
