Also, you could always get a tactrix cable and have a tune done for 100% water and one for 100% meth, and switch over when you run out and have to wait for a re-supply of meth. It has worked out for me in the past. Good Luck!
Well as a daily driver with the OCCASSIONAL spirited drive do you think I can keep my meth consumption and fuel consumption at 1:1 as far as 1meth tank fill up for every 1gas tank fillup?

I guess that would depend where you have your begining progressive spray set and full on spray. In other words, if your spray is coming on at 5 psi boost, you are going to eat it up. Thats like 'on ramp acceleration' boost. If it is set to start around 8 psi and full spray in the teens somewhere, you should be fine for daily driver with a less than 1 gallon tank.
My system (AEM) has a low fluid level tank unit, and sends a visual warning when the fluid gets to a low point (not bone dry). If you are far from a re supply point, you can still drive, just keep the boost down below your initial progressive spray starting point.

Awesome response. that helps a lot. I'm assuming you get a wider power band and more power under the curve if you slowly ramp on from a lower boost set point like you mentioned.

If your concerned about going through too much meth you will be fine to use 50/50 meth/water.

When I was first tunning my car I used this combination and I found it made nearly the same power as 100% meth.

The tune might have to just be a bit different. You see water does a much better job at cooling then meth does. Meth on the other hand raises the octane of your fuel. With more water I would be more inclined to raise boost pressure a lot but not to advance timing or pull as much fuel. With meth on the other hand you won't be cooling the intake charge as much but you will increase the octane so you can raise timing and pull fuel.

I have not experimented enough, but I would think that in theory if you injected the same amount of water as you did meth....you might actually be able to run higher boost with the water since it will cool the intake charge more effectively.

Sorry for the rambling...the morally of the story is you wont notice a difference between 50/50 and 100% meth if your looking to just make 500hp with a GT35

if you have AEM or another stand alone that has the capability to change maps with a switch, why dont you just create a map with no meth for dd and a map with meth for the track.

If thats the case why run meth at all? Why not race gas? say you race once a month ($50) with a 100 octain... thats $600 a year which isnt the price of a good Aquamist kit($800+) Not to mention the install and meth itself.

If your going to have it use it every day!

This definitely helped me answer some questions. Ive been leaning towards buying a kit for a while now and decided to go with the Labonte ISG-S3.

Ive just been curious as to what the best mix would be. Im sure theres long term effects of using meth so I wanted to lean towards the least amount of meth the better. Im still on stock block with a ported evo 9 turbo and all the supporting mods.

Seems like after reading this Im going to try a 50/50 mix and I think Im going to be on the search for the best windshield washer fluid to use seeing I live in a apartment complex with no storage space.

Look at many older cars washer fluid containers, they are blusihs and corrored.. this washer fluid is soo mixed with colors and other aditives that in my opinion it ruins its purity.

Methanol and destilled water might be perhaps a great option.

Wow these cars are like heroin junkies trying to get high on anything else they can find, lol.

if you have it set for 10psi before the meth activates, if you run out can you just not boost until a refill? like for a day or so?
ive always been against meth but i see alot of good numbers and reading stuff like this makes me more interested

Just read the whole thread, why would you ever need 500 awhp for your DD highway travel car? is it really that important for that very occasional drive?

Well the thread is kind of old but since you posted I've decided to reply. It's just an addiction man. I couldn't believe how fast my car felt stock(250whp) compared to my RSX-S. Then after a month I got over it, plus I had a friend with a built Evo so this didn't help things . I decided to bolt on the basics....Intake, Intercooler/Piping, TBE....you know, the usual. So I get tuned and BAM!!! 325whp and I thought this thing was badass! A couple of months later I ditched my Drop-In filter for an HKS unit and here comes 355whp! Again, I thought this thing was a beast! Like many it didn't take long for me to get over the power this car was making so I decided to look into other mods. This is how my thread came about. Since this thread I've bolted on cams and an FP Red along with installing an HFS-5 kit which I have yet to be tuned for. I'm on a pump gas tune making 414whp and it's still not enough so I'm making an appointment for the meth tune. This would have been done months ago but I had a mishap with my meth pump so I couldn't get it tuned. I think most of us fall into the same trap......THE HUNGER FOR MORE POWER!!!!
