So the Aquamist kits shouldn't have the extra meth dribble that kills the IACV's?

Can someone take a picture of the IACV for me?

If the valve is made of aluminium, the meths may cause corrosion within theair path. If this is the case, spray a samll amount of WD40 may coat the internals and minumise the corrosion process.

I assume the valve is running everytime the car idles?

The difference bewteen the aquamist system is "inline valve (quick shut off)" vs "checkvalve (slow shut off)" of the PPS systems.

If "meth to IACV" ingression is caused by main injection event. there is no difference which system you use.

I believe having a continue-on spray after the shut off period does not help the matter, this is because the IACV is most active during idle or zero throttle.

I don't believe it's aluminum, because people aren't talking about metal corroding, i've heard it melts them, not exactly sure what melts though.

There's the link to the post buschur made himself regarding some of the model stepper motors on Evo's having a plastic tip and those were melting. People with older model Evo's should have a steel tip thus they're not having any problems.

Wavy, Surging idle. A misfire is most likely another problem

What was adjusted in your idle?

The steel ones are more robust but still have the problem with the meth weeping into the electrical portion and melting the coating on the windings. The windings then short together and the CEL comes on and the IACV doesn't move. The shorted windings cause excess current draw on the transistor in the ECU. This was the major cause of ECM failure on the old DSMs.

- what is inside the tip?
- What is the function of the the winding?
- anyone got a drawing of the internal circuit?

Please help, any one.
