Aquamist System with Stock Washer Tank

Well I got bored of how my tank and pump used to be mounted and I wanted to try it a different way. I saw how wesside mounted his and I wanted to try it.

I had removed my washer tank for weight reduction months ago but I realized if I am going to be carrying around a tank of what is pretty much washer fluid, I might as well be able to spray it on my windshield if I want to. So I mounted a feed for both the stock washer pump and the aquamist pump in the stock tank.

Check it out.

O yea, I measured it and the tank holds 4 quarts, exactly the same as my old setup.

You can see the float sensor is mounted on the side of the tank so that it just touches that crease from when the tank was formed.

The pump hookup is in the existing hole for the rear wiper. I just had to enlarge the hole slightly.

Looks good Dudical, I was inspired by your mount on previous installation, so I went forth with it, I just hope I don't change my mind either, it was a lot of work measuring installing!

The old mount worked perfectly and I was very happy with it, I'm sure you will be too.

I really did this mainly because I realized it was a way to gain a feature I had previously eliminated(Washer sprayer) without adding any weight.

Of course not. I forgot to add that "gotta love aquamist kits" to my response.

I know your pain brotha! I live in New Mexico for now, bugs are like people here, too many! So that washer fluid is my baby, that's why I opted to mount kit in trunk just like Dudical!
