Sorry if this is in the wrong section...

I have an AEM meth kit with the 0-5v flow output signal. I don't want a gauge to show flow rate. I wanted to wire an LED to just light whenever it gets voltage to show that it is spraying. I'm not familiar with LEDs and resistors so can anyone give me some pointers???

If I get a 5v LED will it only light at 5v or will it light up until 5v? My goal is to have it light up on .1v - 5v.

The AEM kit should come with an LED that does this. The 0 to 5V blue wire is the MAP sensor output.

 

I thought the LED only lights up on low fluid / errors, not when spraying?

 

It flashes for errors but also lights up when spraying. It will also light up when the arm switch is turned off even though the system is not actually spraying. That confused me for a while but it is apparently normal.

 

I have the AEM meth kit with the LED installed. JohnF is correct, it flashes if you get an error and also lights up when spraying. You can always consider adding a digital flow meter gauge like the IFG-20 - Digital Injection Flow Gauge Red for about $80. http://www.labontemotorsports.com/st...ow/IFG-10.html

Since the AEM uses 0-5v flow output signal, it should work with the IFG-20 gauge. But, call Labonte to make sure if you consider using this option.

I have the IFG-20 gauge connected to the IFS-10 - Alcohol Injection Fail Safe with the AEM kit as an added failsafe.

You need to connect your LED with a 560 ohms resistor on 5V signal.
