white stuff on jet?
Hi All,
ok so today I took out my single 1.0mm jet and put in 2x0.6mm jets
When I took out the 1.0mm jet i noticed that the end of it had a white residue on it.
Any ideas on what that could be?
if necessary I can take a pic of it and post...
Cheers

I forgot to say Happy Easter! Great time to catch up on work and play.
White power is normally associated with aluminium oxide. oxided/corroded ali will produce those residues. I often seen this on ali sheets when left un-attented under the mercy of the elements.

Additionally,
Are you using any methanol? methanol is filtered through cotton a lot of the time. It is known to clog jets and fuel pumps. The white residue found at the bottom of tanks ect ect is cotton.
Thanks
Evan Smith

ok i took the jet apart...
no signs of the white powder/coating on the inside of the jet..
so i have to assume that the white stuff is being put on in the IC pipe... probably aluminium oxide or something...
when I have time I will pull the IC pipe and have a look inside...
