Dynocomp Tuned

First I want to say that this is not a whos better thred, but rather just to show everyone what my car did on the dyno with a tune by Rich using Ecutek. Coments are welcome!

The runs where done with 100oct, and the base runs where with a mail in dynoflash. Not a bad flash for 200 bills.

lukytry, your car can be alot faster & make more power than that. Rich unfortunately tunes EVO's on the lean side with his Ecutek flashes. my'03 has pretty much the same mods as your car, but i'm making 324HP/368TQ on 104 octane unleaded & my boost does not fall off drastically like yours. i spike to 27PSI but my boost only tapers to 23-24PSI by redline. my car was tuned at a shop in Mesa (they wish to remain nameless on the forums) & i can tell you that if your AFR was flat at 11.5:1, your car would be screaming!!! it also appears that you can make power if he adds more timing in 3rd-4th gear somewhere in the range of 23-25 degrees.

also your boost is falling off bcuz u haven't modded your wastegate yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Works DV would be my waste gate right..... you think thats a weak link

are you using a boost controller to hold boost, seems like alot of boost.

Please pm me with the shop number, id like to talk a bit with them.

DV is not a wastegate. Diverter Valve is your BOV. The wastegate is what bypasses your exhaust gasses to either go through or bypass the turbine wheel. A fully closed wastegate routes your exhaust gasses over the turbine wheel = boost. An open wastegate routes the exhaust gasses around the turbine wheel = no boost.

on another note....your afrs are really lean. I wouldnt run anything but 100 octane in that car and when the AZ summer hits.....readjust those afrs before something bad happens.

Ive had my car at Rich's shop numerous times for dyno pulls and he is a great guy...but remember, He is a Suby specialist.

I am sure that Rich will richen it up if you don't want it so lean. I know a lot of people here think that he is better with Subbies but he is a helluva tuner. From what I have been reading, it seems the afr's that eveyone wants to hit is 11.5.

Congrats

but remember, He is a Suby specialist.[/QUOTE] AND.........

Hey Lukytry 12.0 on race gas you will be fine. The target on pump is 11.5-11.0, if you run pump in your car the way its set up it will WONT BE NICE.

NOTE: when it gets HOT in AZ have Rich fat N that baby up a little though

Lukytry, that is UNBELIEVABLY lean. I know it's on 100oct, but good God, it doesn't even get CLOSE to 12.0 until 6200rpm. Why is it only gradually lowering through the RPM band. It's ok to be at 12.0 across the board, but it should start at 12.0 around 4000rpm, then stay flat to 7k rpm. You are really pushing it, imo, and there's no reason to. Your boost is fine - it does not taper much at all. The stock turbo doesn't like to push much more than 20psi at 7k anyway. Even on my full-time alky setup running 26psi peak, it tapers to 21psi by 7500rpm, and that's with the Forge WGA tightened down.

Lastly, do not, and I repeat, DO NOT DO ANY TRACK DAYS WITH THIS TUNE. By track day, I mean a road racing event. Drag racing is not a track day, just fyi. YOu would be fine with some drag passes, but not with 20-min sustained track sessions.
