Ha ha, you post this same dyno sheet w/ numbers on clubsi and everyone is cool. You do it here now and everyone is freaking out!!! When I had my WRX tuned with the VF-30 setup by Rich, he made TONS of power out of it and it was all done conservatively to be safe. I like his tuning ability.

Im kinda in the same boat! I love my car to much to beat it to death! Really there is nothing to prove to anyone, that can justify wear and tear on youre baby! Ive been there and done that before! My 00si was a freakin test ground to anything! I blew the b16 with 20k on it due to improper tune with the 70 shot I was running, and then the itr swap was just as abused, untill I sold it!

I plan to make it out for one last even to see what the car can do, then its back in the garage for the Summer!! heheheh

Dude you have no idea what you are talking about. Let me give you a little history. First of all I have been working on cars since I was 13 years old. Went to college in Scotland to be an EE, did internship with a Rally team in France for 3 years (doing strictly tuning) and software development for the ECU's that we were using. I also worked with a few small Formula 3 race teams tuning Motec, Marelli ECU's and Siemens ECU's, and these ECU's were a lot more complicated than any Mitsubishi ECU. So yes, the name MYNES Performance is new in Arizona, that doesn't mean the tuner is new to the art of tuning.

So do this: ask your tuner what he sees in those EcuTek maps? What does it means in assembly language? Ask him to point out in the EVO 256K ROM where, when, and how the ECU decides to switch back and forth from "low octane" to "high octane" map? Ask him to show you where after each instruction is executed, what address is the reset vectors locating to reset the Program Counter for the next memory location to be executed? Also ask your tuner how many subroutines are in the EVO ROM? Ask him how many subroutines just for knock control??? Ask him how the ECU convert MAF frequency to VE routines. Matter of fact, ask him to tell you the memory address locations of the Fuel maps, ignition maps, boost tables, MAF size adjustment, MAF tweak table adjustment, MAF filter adjustment.... this list can go on and on. That's why I respect Al at DynoFlash, because he can tune in hexidecimal and doesn't need a user-friendly GUI interface (i.e. EcuTek) to tune a ECU. To me, that shows a lot about your tuner's capabilities.

So basically what I am saying is this: make sure when you post stuff comparing shops against each other, you know all the facts about that person or their business. I never go on here bashing anybody's shop b/c I don't know them personally. But it seems like a lot of people take the liberty of bashing my shop, and a majority of them have never done any business here or don't know anything about me or my shop. This is quite intriguing b/c we do great work and have very satisfied customers... Is it because we are NEW here in AZ, and people are scared.

And boosten, I thought we were cool, but I have noticed you are not that way in person, which I don't understand? And another thing... I don't look at myself or call myself a tuner, I am a electrical engineer/software developer.

Just so you EVO M guys know, this post was not made to discredit and or promote any of the two shops. All it was is just some facts that I know about Dynocomp, so if I steped on any toes in the Mynes camp I apologize.

When you drove off the dealership after signing for the car, your warranty is gone.

I think Dyno-Comp has been asking the same question...where is everyone else!
you may not see them at the 1/4 because they build road race cars, endurance race cars, time attack cars, and magazine shoot-out cars.

You may want to come down to Dyno-Comp and see there trophy case from MANY different competitons they have entered against other major tuners in the US, and have done quite well.

Example:

One Lap of America Car and Driver Mag. 3rd in class 14 overall of 89 cars.
Modified Mag Time Attack after SEMA last year....CHAMPIONS 1st place
Ultimate Street Car Challenge 2005 3 Place
Modified Mag Redline Time Attack 2nd place 2006 (More to come in series)
Speed Channel TV
G4 TV.

The list goes on. They have over 9 endurance races scheduled for 2006 with spnsorship from NITTO tire, NOS Energy Drink, Subaru of Amercia, LiquiMolly Racing Oil, Cosworth...

I think this speaks for itself. They seem to take the "high road" and compete in many grueling events.

I have spoken my piece not offend anyone, but jsut to point out a few facts that many people may not be aware of.

Say what? Our show car that was built for Pepsi also track races and just happen to take 2nd place in the American Touge Battle? It was built to race AND win shows. Just because we are in magazines does not mean we do not build race cars. If you dont believe us come to the track tomorrow and come run around and have some fun with us the 240 will be out as well as a lot of other very fast cars and drivers. Will make for a lot of fun.

Also to who ever doubts Jay, his ECU knowledge is second to none.
Thanks for the help today bro,
Mitch
PS: The car ended up at 370hp on 101 octane!
