Smog with an aftermarket intake

All I have is a after market intake. I don't see any reason for my evo to not pass smog. But because it has one they they won't even test it on the machine. Does anyone have a smog person who would look at that and not worry about it? I'm in Orange County and will be up in Ventura all weekend if there's a place around there.

What kind of Intake is it? If it's AEM all they need is the CARB number and you are fine. No CARB then you need to put the stock airbox back in. The reason why they don't want to test it is because the MAF plays a role in the emmisions.

Yeah you would have to put the stocker back on. Why are you smogging your car? Do you have to go to a ref, test only or any smog station?

Ok so you bought the car from another state and moved to california and you need to register the car right? Have you checked with dmv yet? where in california are you located?
