Has a lot of what? restrictions?

AZ emission is pretty chill.

Nissan 240sx w/SR20DET pass emission here like nothing.

Not as bad as Cali.

We get stuck with the same crappy 91oct that Cali does though.

Yea restriction sorry about that and thanks for filling in the blank. As well as the info. So you do have to go thought an emission test. Now is that once a year? Right now now my car is bone stock so I'm not worry as of yet, I plan on do some small things first (i.e exhust, intake) and I do plan on getting a project car not sure what car as of yet.

Right now you don't have to have your car emissions tested unless it's a 2001 pr 2000 and older.

its every 2 years I think but yeah like stated above, you won't have to worry about it now.
On your Lancers, it'll probably be hard NOT to pass emission unless you don't have a CAT. Since it's OBDII, they just plug it in, do their thing, check your cat and its all good

They are very lax about emissions.. all you need to do anyway is keep you stock cat-back and whenever you need emissions done spend an hour and put it back on so you wont have to worry about it at all

for newer cars, it's emission after 5 years. For your 2003 ES, you're looking about a test in 2008/2009. We have many evos out here running no-CAT or even a straight-pipe w/o getting into trouble. The hondas out here are even louder. AZ is a cool place to live (gets a little hot in the summer), but having lived in Cali for over 10 years, i'm used to the heat. The laws are much more sane here as well (as compared to Cali). Registration is going to be a little more than FL, but other than that, you'll find it quite nice here.

Good luck.
