Your threats to police officers seem typical....lets face it!...Has anyone EVER said...."gosh officer, I WAS speeding, thank you sincerely for the ticket...I truly deserve it!" ???? I find guilty people *****ing the most about getting a ticket!
Exactly. My department uses LIDAR, and most CHP I've seen in NorCal still use RADAR. CHP live and breathe traffic tickets, and to say California's freeways aren't the Autobahn is a vast understatement. We'll never see the speed limit go away, and when a chippie gives you a speeding ticket, he wholeheartedly believes he's doing you a favor.

Trust us. Street cops like Fricci and I find the bad guys and put them in jail. All it takes is seeing one or two fatal wrecks and you realize that under most road conditions we have here in CA, speed kills.

i was thinking of buying a V1. so the lidar is NOT detectable on radar detectors?
You do realize that the police catch a large number of wanted felons as a result of traffic stops?

My radar does a pretty good job on picking up the LIDAR signal....i have seen them pointing the gun str8 at me and LIDAR going off....good thing i drive the speed limit ....just gotta make sure you have the settings on for it cause not all of them have it on by default.

Go to this site below....its a great source for radar detectors!!!

This is the radar i have...i give it two thumbs WAY UP!!!

Beltronics RX65
The Best Radar Detector Radar Roy has ever tested!

As Beltronics and Escort are now the same company, in 2004 they introduced the Bel RX65 and then the Escort 8500 X50 (replacement for the Escort 8500). These two detectors are similar with the exception that the Bel RX65 has voice and Ku band for European use.

If you are having a difficult choice between the Escort 8500 and the RX65, Roy suggests this:

"Think of the Escort 8500 X50 as a luxury car such as a Jaguar with its sleek design with all the bells, whistles and performance and the Beltronics RX65 as a muscle car like the Shelby, also with strong performance but faster. Which car would you prefer to drive? "
