Depends on your location. I got mine done at Spence alignment in Glendale. They do a lot of work with high end and modded cars.

Marlo's Frame and Alignment

This guy has written articles on alignment and suspension in top magazines and online publications. He did my Trans Am a few years back, and did my Lancer last week, giving me advice and specs for autocross and road racing, while still keeping the car within tire-wear friendly specs. If you're near Chatsworth, I highly recommend him. Other shops will only adjust toe, he will adjust toe and camber (and caster if possible) and tell you what specs he did and why he did them, unless you have specs in mind yourself.

Pep Boys are ok if you know you have the right camber and you are willing to stay within factory specs. But Pep Boys can't adjust camber, and are not allowed to go outside of factory toe settings (which is something like dead zero to 1/2 toe-in). I love the place for most parts (get all my oil, alternators, little accessories, etc. there) and services (brakes, radiator, trans, whatever), but I wouldn't go there if camber needed adjustment.

It was all good the last time I went in with the Trans Am... they said 1/4 toe-in was fine, but they reminded me that they are limited to factory specs (probably liability stuff). I only knew because they told me, but you're right, they do alignments for like $50 if you don't need camber.

There's a SUPER AUTOBACS opening in Stanton this month. They do alignments.

He's right about the toe i worked there and they sent me to allignment school, And i also learned that even a straight rear axle can be alligned and Pep boys is one of the only places that can fix some of the worse camber i have seen, awesome little shims for camber

Shims? Tell me more, I'm interested in knowing more about alignment and stuff. In the future, I might want to lower the Lancer even more, but keeping handling as my top priority, I'll need to relocate the front control arms, so the more I know about geometry adjustments and camber, the better.

I go to a local goodyear place (Bay Area). I bought the lifetime alignment plan for ~$200. I'm on my 6th alignment, do the math. They adjust anything that they can physically do and use one of those big laser-ish alignment thing. I keep track of the specs on my website so I know what I'm looking for as far as my NEXT change. The guy who actually does my stuff is also a good friend, and ALSO just bought an EVO a couple days ago.

hmm that is near my office, how much would they charge to do a car, and how long does it take.

I think he charges like $50 for a front wheel alignment, but you should call and ask to be sure. Every time I've gone there, it was for more than just an alignment, so he ended up giving me a rough estimate and then knocking off a few bucks just to make me smile. And I don't think I've ever spent more than 1 or 2 hours at his shop (not counting the Mustang chit chat after the job is finished)
