Best driving areas

I live right on Angeles Crest, which is a pretty nice drive (for those of you who were wondering, Angeles Crest Highway is in the small town of La Canada off the 210 freeway)

...but I'm looking for other places to take my EVO to. Directions would also be appreciated! Thanks and hopefully I'll see some of you on the road

Santa Monica mountain range has some nice roads too. Piuma rd, Stunt rd, Topanga Canyon, and Tuna canyon are really nice (especially the last one). You can find more info and direction from www.mulhollandraceway.org
Also Sand canyon where it connects 210 and 14 FWY is pretty good.

There are some areas around the Griffith Park Observatory. It's a great place to go just drive if there aren't any other cars around. Oh yeah, going downhill from the Scholl Canyon Golf Course is pretty fun too.

How about highway 33?? It shouldn't be too far from you...

If you want to do south OC canyon runs we meet up at Tustin Marketplace on a whim and go race through Santiago Canyon...

Funny, I'd say Angeles Crest Highway is probably one of the best roads I've been on. I'm sure you get tired of it, but I think a SCLC meet up there would be worth the drive!

IS2000 - Very nice site! Exactly what I've been looking for -- I'll definitely check out some of those roads they have listed (maybe when I'm feeling a little more confident...the site author sounds VERY intimidating )

drmosh - highway 33? I don't think I've ever been on that one...I guess I'll check that one out too! Keep em coming

DEVOTED - Angeles Crest is a very nice road. But everytime I go, I always see AT LEAST 2 police cars roaming around. Plus the traffic -- you know, those cars coming in the opposite direction taking up your lane -- is not a pleasant surprise...It does get a little repetetive up there. But a nice road nonetheless, just watch out for the sheriffs waiting for you.

An Angeles Crest meet sounds good. Count me in (if someone wants to organize this...anyone?)
