Changing the MR tranny oil is easy. You are going to need 2 gallons of SST oil and the SST oil filter. The trick is you have to measure the amount that is drain and fill with the same amount. Should be around 7.8qts if I remember correctly. I did it on my MR no problem and shift like it is brand new afterwards.

 

Changing the lower pipe is straight forward. Remove front bumper , loosen bottom and top clamp, remove 2 bolts and remove the lower pipe. easy day 15 minute job

 

Doing a 8s tranny and MR Xs tranny is like the difference between night and day lol. Just remember if you take one thing that I said don't over fill your tranny it will over heat and cause more damage then good.

 

Nice! Too bad my car isn't really to show off . Stock with few bolt ons and rims = No shows for me.

 

Is the tranny drain plug on the X as bad as the one on the 8? I completely destroyed my first one and had to replace it lol...

And there's nothing wrong with the stock look. Better to spend your money on power rather than shiny things. :P

I didn't destory any plugs. It is just different. The MR tranny has 3 drain plugs and 1 full plug.
