Long tuning day today. Had some minor problems with SAFCs. Two wires were switched wrong on three of them. Took awhile to get through that.
Rene put down some awesome numbers. His 91 tune put down 315 hp and 285 torque and his 100 tune put down 327 hp and 320 torque. He gain 80 hp and 60 ft lb torque on his 91 tune due to the car running really rich at redline. Thats the purpose of these tunes. To find the power and area under the curve.
Manny still has issues to work out. The stock airbox did help out enough to keep him on the safe side of things, but he still should have been a hell of alot more rich with zero settings. I'm sure when we get things worked out, his car will be a monster.
The 272i/262e cam setup works big time, as you can see by Rene's dyno numbers. I would like to see what straight 272's would do on a similar setup. Rene's 91 tune numbers are my 100 tune numbers. I have the opposite setup from his. So yeah.....
Once again, I would like to thank Alfred from Tuning Technologies and Matt from HPH for putting in some late hours at the dyno. It couldn't have happened without them.
