ok, i see now. the only reason why i said that is because i am comparing ur car to mine. thats all. i made 253hp and 235tq and u made 270hp and 255tq on 91. u have 3 parts over me that are proven to produce more hp and tq. simply, i really dont believe in this factory freak idea. i believe everything u've done is based on ur driving skills. cuz u've been able to do things in other peoples cars, that they couldnt do. ill just wait and test this theory when i am able to get my hotside.

im not tryin to take anything away from u alex. cuz ur car does produce great numbers. i just have a hard time believing in any idea unless i have some kind of proof or comparison to validate it.

as for my air fuel ratios. it might have to do wit the intake. i using that big *** aem filter on my injen intake pipe. seeing that manny ran into the same problem that could be the deal.

alex why couldnt ur car take anymore boost????? was ur bov holding ok???? or is ur downpipe becoming a resistriction since ur tryin to run more boost?????

 

Alex's driving skill has nothing to do with the fact that he will be making more power than me without cams. He couldn't boost past 22 psi because he was hitting fuel cut. He needs injectors.

Justing check all your hose clamps and make sure everything is nice and tight. Manny just called me and said his clamp was loose at the turbo inlet. That may be the problem. We'll find out today.

Alex had as similar problem around the SEMA time frame and we found one of his hose clamps loose at the intercooler inlet.

 

Do you and alex have an identical set-up (Besides the cams)or what because that is the only way u can compare i dont know what your guy's set up is but maybe alex just has better parts or somthing i know 1 thing alex has that not alot of people dont have is a 2.5'' downpipe that goes into a 3'' catback.which he says creates more back pressure. maybe thats where he gets the power from maybe it really is a special engine who knows.

im not denyin the fact that his car makes great power. i was just sayin a lot of his accomplishments on the track were do to the fact that he is a one hell of a great driver. i already know if i let him drive my car he will most likely post a better time than me. yes his car is a beast, but i still got a lil bit of doubt in my mind about it. im not tryin to take anything away from him or his car. i already admitted that his car is faster than mine. we've done enough pulls for me to realize this. im only sayin that he is only producing 17hp and 20tq more torque than me at this moment, and he is now tuned. to me, in my mind. defeats the notion of factory freak. thats all. its just my opinion. im sorry, im just a very opinionated and defensive person.

the only reason why i using alex as a reference point is because he is the closest person to me in parts with an 03-04 evo. as soon as i get more parts im gonna compare my car to urs (gonzo), jesse, joe, and corey car.

i will definitely go back and check my clamps. i think their ok. i made sure to tighten every clamp everytime i messed wit my car. especially after i got it back from the dealership when then did my clutch.

alex has been telling me that hes been hittin fuel cut alot. i still wonder if his downpipe is becoming a factor. since its not an 3 inch. alex did u end up putting ur stock fuel pump back in or did u get another aftermarket one? i havent boosted past 22 yet, excpet once by accident but i didnt hit fuel cut. i wonder if i will have the same problem.

 

When did comparing dyno numbers turn into how Alex drives down the track? I think you hate Alex. Come on admit it. HATER!

 

 

im not comparing numbers to how he drives down the track. the whole idea of alex's car being a "factory freak" come from when he did a 12.5 pass in his car. thats when u guys started sayin he has a factory freak. i just sayin u cant necessarily call his car a freak because of his time at the track. like i said before he has driven other peoples cars and posted better times then the actual owners.

i just comparing his numbers to mine at this point. since he is my closest competition. thats all. sicne our dyno numbers arent to far apart from each other. i cant call his car a factory freak. ill call it "ONE POWERFUL *** EVO." just not a freak. i been sayin this even before the tune.

yeah i hate that lil hippies guts. it pisses me off everytime we do a pull, he edges me out. on the real, the kid is better than me. if im ever gonna beat him, manny, or any other of the LV Evos. im just gonna have to step it up
